Enzo's POV
Feeling this intense aroma of pine trees and moss surrounding me, my mind swirled and jumped through waves of kaleidoscope colors. Years that I had lived forced me to relive again alongside Damon, who couldn't seem to stop groaning in pain as we suddenly reappeared abruptly in the cemetery. The white clouds and blue sky had suddenly darkened, overcasting us in a blanket of fog as Liv had been pushed back by Tyler.
"What the hell are you doing?" Damon blurted out.
"I'm taking Liv home-"
"To hell you are, Lauren is still on the other side."
Stumbling back as Damon strode towards them, I noticed the metal railing dividing the cemetery and rushed over to Damon, pulling him back before he burned.
"Careful with the border," I mumbled, glaring my eyes at Tyler.
"I'm sorry...I really am-"
"Oh screw you! Liv, do the damn spell again!"
"I'm not going to let you kill her by bringing Lauren back."
"I wasn't talking to you, Tick-face! Liv!" Damon yelled.
"...bringing Lauren back will kill Liv, is that really what you want."
"And you think leaving Lauren behind is what you want! Don't forget who helped you break the curse...the same witch that can bring it right back!"
"...what is he talking about?" I heard Liv whisper.
"Nothi-"
"He dated my sister...just before he cheated on her with another werewolf in the mountains, all because he was lonely. Don't be surprised when he comes back from a trip and suddenly doesn't want to talk or listen...some dogs need to be on a leash."
"...Damon, that's enough," I added, pulling him back only for him to tear his grip from my hand.
"I'm bringing her back...I don't care which Parker sibling I have to kill."
Catching the scared look on Liv's face, Tyler immediately grabbed her hand and hurried on their way through the trail and as far away as possible before Damon found the courage to fight through the border and kill her right then and there.
"Damn it!"
"Calm down, Damon. You heard Lauren...we'll find another way-"
"What if this was the way! What the hell do you think Liv is going to tell her brother once she gets back into town. 'Screw the witch, let's ditch.' Lauren doesn't have magic, she doesn't even have enough blood to last her for a week."
"You act like she can't fend for herself..." I mumbled.
"...she can...but Stefan and I, we've always been there. Even when she's gotten on our nerves-"
"Her? Don't you mean the two of you?"
"Fine...Even when we've gotten on her nerves...we're still there."
"Just like the last time..."
"What last time?" Damon paused.
"Exactly. Look, our conversation back there was not finished...your intentions are not for Lauren, it's a need. I've only known her for a few months, and I've only heard stories that she has told me...but I've never once heard the either of you come and save her, it's always the other way around."
Taking some steps back, preparing me to head down the long trail back to the main road, I hear Damon's voice call me again.
"And you think you'll be the one to save her?"
