Shutting down the water, I cleaned off my brushes with a towel hanging on a cabinet before I placed them in a jar near the window.

'I'm on the highway to hell...'

'On the highway to hell...'

Bobbing my head back and forth, I moved my blank canvases to the other side of the attic when I heard something fall from the bookshelf below me.

Barely looking over my shoulder, I took out one of my headphones when I heard another thump on the second floor.

"Stefan?" I said aloud.

Turning off my music, I throw my headphones on the table and slide my phone in my back pocket before I started heading down the spiral stairs.

Standing at the bottom of the stairs, I looked both ways and saw that nothing had fallen on the ground.

"Ah! Stop, okay!" I heard some say.

Following the voice, I ended at Stefan's corridor.

"Some freak shot at me with wooden bullets, I'd bail in under 60." They said.

Placing my hand on the slightly open door, I pushed the door to see Lexi sitting on Stefan's bed.

"Why is a news reporter hunting vampires?" She asked.

Catching their attention, Stefan looks over to smile at me, and before I knew it Lexi did the same.

"Lauren..." She gasped.

"Hey..." I chuckled.

"I haven't seen you since you were like, 15!" Jumping off the bed, she basically flies over to me, squeezing me tightly in her arms.

"Ohh, it feels so good to see you again." She added.

"I didn't know you were back in town? Why are you back in town?" I questioned.

"Well, a special someone is turning 162 today." She added, looking over her shoulder at Stefan.

"Are we throwing a party! Because last time was so crazy!" I yelled heading into his room.

"See! Your sister is even excited!"

"What are we doing?" I asked jumping on the bed.

"We, are doing nothing...while you're here, please be careful, Lex."

"Oh, yeah. This entire town is crazy about hunting Vampires, nowadays." I said.

"Why stay?" She groaned, throwing herself on the bed.

"I'm headed to New York for the weekend. Bon Jovi in the garden. 'Wanted dead or alive'." She quoted, as Stefan held his hand out in a fist.

"It's our theme song...It'll be a blast."

"Hey, do you think that he would actually remember us? That was a pretty crazy weekend, huh?" Stefan asked.

"We can make him remember us." I winked, grabbing Stefan's shoulder.

"Come on! Let's go." I yelled.

"I mean, what's keeping you here?"

"I told you. Her name is Elena."

"Well, let's hope she's better than the last girl you got all sprung over," Lexi said, sarcastically drooling over Katherine's portrait.

"You didn't even know Katherine."

"Cause if I did, I'd kick her ass. Little bitch. Speaking of...where's Damon?" She asked us.

"Probably inflicting misery somewhere," I said, holding up my hands in the air while I laid on the bed.
