Still, on the floor, the front door had suddenly opened along with Stefan and Jeremy.
"Elena, are you in here?" Stefan called out.
"Kitchen."
Grabbing her coffee cup, I headed over to the sink when the majority of the dishes had been cleaned out that morning.
"So...did it work?" Jeremy whispered.
"Did what work?" She sighed.
Watching them from the reflection in the window, I saw Stefan look at Jeremy before heading closer to me.
"We had some help...from Klaus."
"Help?" I asked.
"It's a long story...but it stopped Elena's hallucinations," Jeremy added.
Staring at Stefan from the side, his eyes nervously looked over at me.
"He has the hunter's mark, doesn't he?" I whispered, lifting my finger to turn on the faucet behind me.
"We didn't have a choice." He said, glancing back over at Elena, who hugged Jeremy.
Nonchalantly, Stefan and I made our way over to the living room before quietly heading out the front door.
"Do you want a ride home?" He asked as we came down the steps.
"Um...I have some things to do, so..."
"Alright, well...call if you need anything."
"Stefan?" I called out as he headed down the sidewalk.
"Yeah?"
"Is everything okay? Between you and Elena?"
"Umm..."
Watching him glance back up at Elena's home, I quickly followed his gaze.
"I don't know...she's different." He sighed.
"Then should I be worried?"
"No, of course, not...I'm the older brother, remember. I should be worried about you." He chuckled.
"Okay, then. Good night."
"Good night."
Heading back down the opposite way, I cradled my arms around my self as I passed underneath the street lights when I came to a halt near a small park.
Lights were starting to light up from the generator behind a small building, leaving small circular pathways to the middle of the park where a fountain stood.
Walking deeper inside, the shadows from the leaves rippled down on the concrete as the wind blew lightly. But as I made my way through the trees and bushes, I took a seat on the fountain, partially facing the water.
"Okay, Scarlett...let's try this again." I sighed.
Closing my eyes, I dipped my fingers inside covering my hand while I chanted the spell again.
"Omnia scire licet adhuc retineat et invocare. Et omne opus reperire uiam meam in mente."

Entering city hall with Richard's arm wrapped around my waist, a large group of men had turned around and smiled as we passed by them, including my father.
"Lauren, sweetheart. Come here, I wanted you to meet someone." He said, reaching for my hand.
"This is Vasily Perov. Mr. Perov, this is my daughter, Lauren Salvatore."
