"Lauren!"
"Lauren! Open up!"
Hearing loud thudding echoing in the halls from downstairs, I rolled over to my nightstand, reaching for my alarm when I suddenly hear a single bang coming from the foyer.
"Lauren, what the hell was that?" Elizabeth blurted out, barging into my room.
"I don't know?"
Throwing my covers over, Elizabeth and I ran downstairs and split off at the bottom before I ran into the living room where Bonnie was standing with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Bonnie? What happened?" I blurted out.
"Grams...I killed...I think I killed Grams." She cried softly.
"What? Bonnie, that's impossible?"
"Grams is dead...she's been dead for a year now," I added
"I...I...She held onto me..."
Hearing the sound of her heart rate, Bonnie's eyes started to roll to the back of her head just seconds before her body fell onto the couch.
"Bonnie!"
"What happened?" Elizabeth yelled, running in from the foyer.
"I don't know-"
"Leave her. She'll wake up." My mom hissed, standing behind me with my father at her side.
Snapping my head to my parents, I could feel my brows furrow in worry as they both started at Bonnie with such anger and disgust.
"How long will it last?" Elizabeth asked.
"An hour...maybe even longer if the witches decide she's worth saving."
"Worth saving? It's Bonnie, mom?" I blurted out.
"Yes, I know that! But she's also a witch who crossed her territory. Her kind is not meant for black magic, not like us. She brought this upon herself when she decided to play, and Sheila paid the consequences."
Walking away with her arms wrapped across her chest, my father handed Elizabeth one of the throw blankets from the closet.
"So what now?" She whispered, covering Bonnie on the couch.
Standing still, I casually glance down at Bonnie, who was sound asleep on the couch.
"Mom will probably give her a lecture by the time she wakes up...you mind looking after her while I head to the manor?"
"Yeah, what are you gonna do?" She asked.
"Get answers."
Heading back upstairs, I quickly take a shower and stride into my cleaned out closet where most of my old clothes were packed in old plastic containers as my new clothes were still in their bag with their tags.
Grabbing a white and gray striped shirt with some shorts, I got dressed in front of my mirror, putting on my converse before heading back downstairs and out the door.

Turning into the dirt road leading to the manor, I passed some of the gardeners, who waved at me as I drove past them.
"Good Morning, Ms. Salvatore..." One of them said as I rolled down my window.
"Good Morning, Peter...are my brothers home?"
"Yeah, Stefan just pulled up into the driveway about 30 minutes ago."
"Thanks..."
Pulling into the driveway, I parked beside Stefan and Damon's cars just under the walkway, when I suddenly heard yelling coming from the second floor once my engine stopped running.
