"You were dying inside the womb. Your mother was in so much pain, that my mother just, she had to help her-"

"So she ripped me out of my families arms, and called me her own." I sighed.

"Your mother died in childbirth. We had no idea who your family. She wasn't from here, Lauren. The Blackwell name runs in France, they traveled here for something...Please, Lauren."

"They looked for me, Damon. My sisters, my brothers, even my own father looked for me, because that's what family does." I hissed.

Standing opposite sides of the living room, Rose left the computer on the table before heading upstairs.

"What are you going to do?" Damon asked.

"I'm going to sit here, and you're going to tell me exactly what happened that day."

"Fine...okay, um..."

'It was March 23, 1845, my family and I went to Covington Park for a walk. Stefan was just an infant and I was 7. We bumped into your mother, she was alone carrying a few bags, it wasn't until my father noticed that she was pregnant.'

'We stopped to help her, told her we could give her a ride to her house, but she refused. So, my mother requested we would walk with her, make sure she was safe. And then about a mile in her water broke, she dropped to the floor, grasping her stomach in pain.'

'We took her back home and helped her deliver you. It took almost an hour trying to get you out, but you did, and mother held you for the first time. You looked up at her and smiled, you had a head full of hair, and the most hopeful eyes I've ever seen on a newborn.'

"What about my mother?" I sniffled.

'Mother walked over, and handed you to Aurora but when she placed you on her chest, you wouldn't stop crying. That's when we knew she was dead. Mother fed you from her breast and then we hired a wet nurse, she thought that...you sign from God above. She always wanted a daughter, and Aurora gave her that-"

"It wasn't hers to give." I hissed.

"I know, but you were raised with us, you became family the moment mother named you Lauren Salvatore."

"What happened to the body, Damon."

Staring at me, he starts to walk closer, until my back was up against the paneling.

"Damon. What happened to Aurora."

'We cleaned her up, sewed her wound. Father said he would take care of it. All I remember was her being rolled up in a white blanket and taken to her grave.'

"What about the name. What name is she under?"

"Aurora. Just Aurora." He whispered.

Trying to fight back the tears, I blinked quickly as I looked around the room.

"Lauren, we didn't take your memory about this...we never told you because you never brought it up."

"How was I supposed to know I was being raised by strangers. People who picked my mother from the park and took me, leaving her to die."

"She died giving birth to you, we didn't have a choice-"

"You could've let me die!" I yelled.

"I could be with her, right now. I wouldn't have been this...she wouldn't have wanted me to be this." I said feeling disgusted.

"Lauren-"

"Don't!" I yelled, flying to the other side of the room.

"You're not feeling like yourself okay?"
