Sitting on the floor, surrounded by dozens of books, I read the paper over and over again trying to understand the spells and the meanings behind the words.
Some were written in old English, others in Latin or French, while on them was written with pictures. Figures surrounding a fire, a single person up against a wooden pole, another standing near with people behind them, like a cult.
"Brought you breakfast," Mason said.
"Whoa...what's with the books?" He asked, setting the tray on the table.
"Nothing. Just books Katherine's been giving me."
Bending down, he quickly grabs the furthest book from the stack.
"Wicca...an old witches tale."
"Vampires can be witches?"
"No." I hissed, tearing the book from his hands.
"I've been...dealing with something for the past few months," I whispered.
"And you think you can find that through books."
"You think you can break the curse with a stone. Who's the bigger idiot?"
Hearing the door open wider, Tyler walks in with sweaty clothes.
"Mom needs help with setting up, do you guys want to help?" He asked.
"Yeah," Mason said.
"Finish your food." He added, closing the door behind him.
Crawling to the table, I lift the silver top on the plate two see two blood bags on the plate and a note attached.
'I hope you like O-Neg.'

After changing into some clothes that Katherine brought for me, I headed downstairs to a room full of people moving furniture in and out of the house.
Mrs. Lockwood's voice echoed in the halls, directing everyone around the room.
"Tyler! Be careful!" She said as Tyler and Matt walked in with an antique table.
"Sorry, Mrs. Lockwood," Matt whispered.
Heading outside, I glanced around at the tents set up outside, including one with a familiar face.
"Hey," Stefan whispered.
Walking quickly past everyone in my way, I hugged him the second I was close enough to wrap my arms around him.
"Jesus, I didn't-"
"I know you didn't. It's not your fault." He said, combing my hair back.
"Damon."
"He's okay. He's vengeful, but he's fine. He was worried about you, about what Mason was capable of."
"Damon Salvatore? Our Katherine obsessed brother, was concerned about me?"
"As much as he hates to admit it, behind his sarcasm and his wit, he was," Stefan whispered.
"I was fine. Katherine came by to see how I was doing."
Seeing him smile softly, he takes a step back to continue organizing the bin of ribbon.
"How is Katherine?"
"Oh, no. I'm not telling you what she's planning because she hasn't told me. I haven't seen her in years, Stefan. I'm not starting our friendship again with drama."
"I know, I'm sorry. How are you?" He asked.
"I'm good. Taken care of actually, I was hungry last night and I couldn't leave because Mason was scared I would run. Which I could've, but I stayed."
