Sitting down on the couch opposite of Stefan and Elena, Damon and Alaric come walking back into the living as we all held a coffee cup or ball glasses in our hands.

"You need something to drink? Coffee? Bourbon? Bourbon in your coffee?" Damon said to Alaric.

"Elena mentioned you needed my help."

"Yeah. We were hoping you could help shed some light on the Lockwood family." Stefan whispered as Alaric sat beside me.

"I overheard Mason asked Tyler about a moonstone at Mr. Lockwood's funeral service," I added quietly,

"Now why would I know anything about the Lockwoods?"

"Well, you wouldn't. But your dead-, not dead vampire wife might." Damon blurted out, as he sat down.

"Isobel's research, from when you guys were at Duke together."

"You said that she had spent years researching this town." Elena and Stefan said.

"Isobel's research here, Mystic Falls, was rooted in folklore and legend. At the time, I thought most of which was fiction."

"Like that amazing vampire story," Damon said in a creepy tone.

"Aside from the vampires, what else?" I asked him.

"Lycanthrope." He whispered.

"Werewolves?" I questioned.

"No way. Impossible. Way too Lon Chaney." Damon blurted out.

"Is it? You heard Lauren, Mason wanted that moonstone-like his life depended on it. He called an old stupid rock, so Tyler wouldn't bother grabbing it." Stefan added.

"I've been on this planet 160-some odd years. I've never come across one. If werewolves exist, where the hell are they?"

Looking down at the coffee, I had brought up my hand up to my neck as I played with my necklace and then something popped into my head.

" In New Orleans, when I was there with Katherine, I ran into one. They were old, but...she was hiding in the woods. She said her pack was coming to get her as soon as it was safe for her to travel. Whatever that meant?" I whispered.

"Well, why do you suspect the Lockwoods?" Alaric asked.

"Because vervain didn't affect the Mayor on Founder's Day but the Gilbert device did and it affected his son, Tyler."

"And at the school carnival, his Uncle Mason exhibited inhuman behavior when he fought one of the carnival workers. It suggested some sort of supernatural entity." I added.

"We were hoping Isobel's research could help us figure out what it is."

"Well, all of her things are still at Duke. I mean, her office is still there. She's technically still missing."

"So can we get access to it?" Damon blurted out.

Sitting in the living room in complete silence, I looked over to see Damon growing impatient from Alaric's lack of answers.

"Ric, we need to know what we're dealing with. If this wolfman thing is true, I've seen enough movies to know it's not good. It means that Mason Lockwood is a real-life Lon Chaney and that little Tyler punk, may just very well be Lon Chaney Jr. Which means Bela Lugosi-, meaning me, is totally screwed." Damon hissed.

Grabbing some clothes out of my closet and my drawer, I heard a loud beeping noise coming from my phone.

'Voicemail.'

Answering the notification, I let the voicemail play as I continued to pack.
