Sliding my hangers back and forth on my clothing rack, I threw old pieces into donations boxes as I hear Elizabeth walk past my room.
"What are you doing?" She asked, leaning on my door.
"Some of my clothes don't fit anymore, figured I'd donate them."
"You're donating your boots? But you love these things." She chuckled, levitating my black knee high's from the box.
"Maybe some other Witch with vampire and werewolf abilities could use them."
Wrapping my arms around the large section I had put aside, I threw them into the box and stood there after, glancing at the piles of clothes I no longer used.
"Can I ask?" She mumbled.
"Sure."
"This isn't about Klaus or Elijah, is it?"
Sighing as I kneeled to the ground, I worryingly folded clothes while ignoring her question.
"It's okay if it is...but it doesn't mean you have to change this aspect of your life-"
"It's not because of Klaus or Elijah. I just want something fresh, with everything that happened yesterday...I don't know, I feel like I've been reliving these days for the past 100 years." I mumbled.
Closing up the box by folding the sides together by hand, I levitated them onto my bed before whisking them to the back of my car.
"So does that mean we're going shopping this week?" Elizabeth clapped excitingly.
"...I'm not a fan of shopping, I'll probably just end up buying things online."
"Scar, you need to get out of Mystic Falls." She whined.
"And I will...just not right now."
"Fine...I'll have a girls weekend by myself." She said, striding out of my room.
Finishing up the last bits of boxes, I managed to do some cleaning in my room before I collapsed on the bed from exhaustion. The windows there freshly wiped, my floors buffed and waxed, even my linens were washed and dried all by the time my mom had finished lunch.
Everyone had gone out for the day, running errands, traveling around town, James on the other hand, stayed behind. His room had been locked for the last couple of hours since I saw him at breakfast, and neither my mother or I bothered to see if he was still in there.
"Scarlett! I could use some help down here!" I heard my mom call for me.
Dashing through my door and the main staircase, I appeared beside my mom while she handled the chicken cooking in the stove.
"What do you need?" I asked.
"Could you peel those carrots for me and dump them in the salad."
Rolling my fingers around, the vegetable peeler slid out of the drawer, immediately peeling and cutting up the washed carrots.
"Done."
Standing at the counter, she looked over her shoulder, gazing at the bowl of vegetables as the peeler hid back in the drawer.
"Do you think I called you in here just so you can enchant a vegetable peeler? She asked.
"No...but I figured it would save time and fingers doing so."
"You've been in your room all day, stomping and dragging things across the floor. Why don't you go out, enjoy some fresh air."
"I did mom, yesterday," I mumbled.
