Hearing Elizabeth and James bickering in the kitchen, Sebastian was playing chess by himself near the window by the time lunch rolled around.
"Have you beaten yourself yet?" I asked Sebastian.
"Nope...seems as if my alter-ego is Rapunzel, instead of letting their hair down, it's letting me down." He blurted out, turning the chess board.
"Well..." Reaching over the board, I moved the Queen 4 squares diagonally to the right from the left corner and end his game.
"What?"
"Checkmate..." I whispered in his ear before heading to the kitchen where Elizabeth was looking through an old box on the counter.
"Oh! Look, it's a photo album."
"Where did you find that?" I asked her.
"Told you she was going to find out!" James blurted out.
Standing beside her, I reached inside and pulled out my old sketch pad and flipped through the drawn pages.
"Wow...that's really good." Elle sighed, looking over my shoulder.
"Elle here was noisy about the things you keep in the spare room," James added.
"What? It's some interesting things in here, like this flapper dress. Where you one of them?" She asked.
"Yeah, those were some fun times, away from being in my ripper stage."
"What did you do during that time?" Elle asked.
Chuckling softly, I grabbed the black sequined dress, running my fingers through the champagne colored fringe at the bottom. Large crystal lined the dress, as well as five sewed crystal flowers down the stomach and hips.
"What didn't I do," I said, as the two of us nudge each other on the shoulder.
"And that's my cue." James blurted out, grabbing his sandwich and heading out of the kitchen.
"Oh! Caroline Forbes called, she was wondering if you could help set up before the dance?" James added.
"Okay, thanks."
"You have really good taste in fashion...even now." She whispered holding a feathery headpiece with a double-stranded band in her hands.
"You can thank Charles Farrell for those..."
"Charles...like the actor? You knew him!"
"Friends. Keep in mind I was an amateur ripper before New Orleans."
"When did that start?"
"After we spent New Year's Eve together on Bourbon St," I added, grabbing the dress and headpiece on the counter.
"Can I do your hair!" Elle yelled following me upstairs.

After coming out of the shower, I sat in front of my vanity while Elle was curling my hair up and placing the headpiece on my head.
"Hey, I forgot to ask you...did Elijah ever come by yesterday while I was gone?" I asked Elle.
"No, but I found a letter in my room with your name. It's in your drawer, I figured you already read it."
"No, I've been busy trying to balance out my love life."
"What do you mean?" She asked, pinning the last piece of my hair on the right side.
"Tyler's back, he broke the sire bond between him and Klaus. Klaus, wants me to get to know him, and...Tyler doesn't know about our sire bond." I whispered glancing down at the table.
