Standing in the corner of our attic, I picked up my tray pot on the end table beside me and started to dip my brush in when I hear a thud on the roof. A single crow cawed in the distance as it echoed from the open window just diagonal from the easel.
"You've been painting that for days now, have any plans on finishing it?" Stefan asked as he was sitting on the chair behind me.
"If you would stop jumping off the roof maybe I can find some peace and quiet around here." I blurted out, swiftly dragging my paint brush across and down the canvas.
"We're basically in the woods, how much peace and quiet could you want."
"I want to not go to high school...again." I hissed.
"That's not gonna happen, and you know that. We look too young to not be in school, especially you."
Turning around with my paintbrush in hand, I narrowed my eyebrows in disgust.
"I can past as a 20-year-old, okay?"
"Yeah, sure." He chuckled before hearing him get up from the chair and walk over to the other canvases laying on the ground.
"You know, you should really go to Art school. I mean, this house is basically your own private museum since I've hung every last piece of your work on the walls."
Looking through my paintings, he pulls a semi-large canvas from behind a chair.
"What's this?"
Glancing over, I scanned the sketch I had made just a few days ago when we arrived back at Mystic Falls.
"I don't know? I saw it when I was sleeping."
Turning back to finish my painting the memory of the artwork that Stefan was still looking at flashed in my head like a camera.
'Water. Water everywhere. There were four bodies, struggling to survive.'
"You should finish it. I'll hang it in my room after." Stefan said, putting the canvas back behind the chair.
"It's just an assortment of blue colors and some blobs of black shadows? You want that."
"I like it." He whispered before leaving the room.
"And get ready for school!" He yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

Getting out of the car, I grabbed my jacket from the back seat and started to put it on, when I noticed a crowd of people staring at Stefan and me as he met me by the passenger door.
"This will be fun." He whispered before handing me a pair of sunglasses.
'He's so hot.' A group of girls said as they remained in a tight circle while holding the books close by their chest.
'Oh my, God...I love her hair.'
Finally walking up the steps, I glanced around the hallways as teenage kids walked around holding hands, resting against lockers, and having a conversation in the middle of the hall.
Placing his hand on the smallest part of my back Stefan guides me to the office where the receptionist helps us with our papers.
"Hi, how can I help you?" She asked.
"We're transfers from New York, it's our first day," Stefen said.
"Okay...Names?"
"Lauren and Stefan Salvatore."
Typing away, I felt someone stare at me from behind. The smell of their hair roamed its way into the room, including the sound of their voice.
'All I see is his back.'
