I don't need his love

“Luke, I thought I told you that Calum had to leave.” Mr. H tells him.

“It’s ok Mr. H, Calum was interested in what happens here in the company and I was just explaining my job to him.” I told Mr. H, he frowns but then smiles at me.

“As long as you get that report done today you can explain the company to Calum.” Mr. H says, he then walks away.

“I told you he loves Michael more than he loves me.” Luke tells Calum, I look over at Luke with a frown.

“I’m sure he loves you very much Luke.” I tell him, he shrugs.

“It’s ok, I’ve never really felt love, not like I need it now. He was always more busy with Jack and Ben and then when I came out he just dropped me totally. I don’t need his love, I don’t need anybody’s love.” Luke mutters, it hurt in my heart and my chest as he said that, he was such a broken little boy.

“Luke!” Calum tells him in a warning tone, Luke looks up at Calum and then at me. I give him a sad smile and then look at my laptop.

“When is this party?” I ask, trying to get my mind off of the fact Luke basically told me he didn’t need me.

“Michael?” Luke asks, I look over at him and smile, it was fake but he smiled back.

“You ok?” He asks me.

“Yes, now when’s the party?” I ask him.

“In 3 weeks, but I really don’t want to go.” Luke tells me.

“You’re going Luke, come on. Enjoy it a little too yeah, and if people give you shit then you text me and I’ll make you happy again.” I tell him, he shrugs.

“I’ll take you shopping for a cool outfit if you want?” I ask him.

“No, it’s ok. I don’t need a new outfit, I don’t need you to spend your money on me.” Luke tells me, I smile a genuine smile this time because he’s so cute.

“Luke, you want to look good at that party?” I ask him.

“I don’t want to go to that party!” Luke says to me angrily.

“Tough luck because I’ll get Calum to text me if you’re there or not. What do you need to have to impress these guys. You’re impressive just as yourself, if they can’t see that then that’s their problem. You go there with your head held high and you make them notice how perfect you are.” I tell him.

“Awww!” Calum coos at us, Luke blushes and nods.

“Fine I’ll go, it’s just too bad you can’t go.” Luke says, I smile at him.

“Like they’d want an old guy like me there, plus I’m in no state to go party anymore.” I tell him.

“I’d be the most succesful guy there if you showed up, in your muscle tee with some skinny jeans. Or in a suit.” Luke says.

“Ok, I’d like to sit here and chat but I have to do this report, I need to finish it today and it looks like a lot of work. Calum you’re going to have to leave.” I tell him.

“Ok, thanks for everything Michael, you know for Ashton and things.” Calum says to me.

“It’s ok Cal, if you need tips, come see me.” I tell him with a wink, Luke pushes Calum out of the office and walks downstairs with him. I quickly get to reading the report, I go into my draw in my desk and pull out my second laptop since I keep getting more mails. When Luke walks back in his sits on the chair he usually sits in.

“You have a second laptop?” Luke asks me.

“Yes, I keep getting mails and I need to finish this report. I forgot today was update day.” I tell him, just as I log into my second laptop Mr. H walks in.

“Update day?” He asks me.

“I’m just about to explain this to Luke and then he’ll get on to updating while I do this report. With the 2 of us I think we’ll still be spending some overtime here.” I tell Mr. H.

“Ehm could you bring Luke home after that then? I need to leave early today for an important meeting with this guy, a new client.” Mr. H says.

“Sure I’ll get him to my place and then drive him home, you know I walk here.” I tell him.

“Fine by me.” Mr. H says, he doesn’t even say bye to Luke as he leaves. I look over at Luke but he’s ignoring it.

“If you get that chair over to this side I’ll explain the updates and what you have to do before getting to this report.” I tell him, he picks the chair up and moves over to my side.

“Sorry about sitting in your chair earlier.” Luke whispers to me as he sits down.

“It’s ok Penguin, just don’t do it again, while there’s other people here I mean.” I tell him, winking at him he giggles and looks at my second laptop as I open my email.

“Ok so anything with the topic StockUpdate is what you need to read, you simply check it and then write down on a sticky note how much their stock has gone up or down. The Update goes all in green or red you can understand why. Then you stick the note on my wall, on the line of the business that sent it.

“Ok, so how can I see what the official percentage is?” Luke asks me, I open the first one for him and show him which percentage to pick.

“Ok, I’ll start on this then.” He tells me, he moves the chair to the other side of my desk and grabs the green and red sticky notes.

“Ehm may I euh?” Luke asks, he points at the desk, I move a few things over so he can put the laptop down and start working. 

AN/ Double update because I'm just so NICE! :p Aww Luke agreed to go to the party! Michael wants Luke to feel good about himself! Poop to you Luke for claiming you don't need Michael's love, you hurt his feelings!!!! :( OH OH Overtime, all alone, together, in the office.... DUM DUM DUUUUMM!!! Or not DUM DUM DUMMMMMM :p
