"Tsk!"

Sigh!

Napahawak nalang ako sa noo habang nakatingin sa kasama ko. He mercilessly killed monsters like an insects. He keeps his blank expression while tearing those poor monsters down.

I know monsters are supposed to be subjugated, but i feel bad for them. Facing a warrior like him, this...is a one-sided battle.

"This is too boring. Aren't there any other worthy opponent? This is just wasting time" as a warrior like him who faced countless battles as a young age, he cannot help but see monsters as inferior being.

"Kinrozardi Drago. We are not in the battlefield, we are subjugating monsters. I know the feeling of wanting to face a more stronger opponent but, sadly, there are none" he wiped his blade and continue walking.

"You talk as if we are the same. Gatekeeper are different from warriors. You're just keeping the gate. I don't see any resemblance to the battlefield" wow. Is he insulting me right now?

"Hey. I don't just keeping an eye on gates. I worked to death too. You make it sound like i'm don't engage in battles. It's an insult to your friend" sagot ko sa kanya at sinabayan siyang maglakad.

I'm wondering why i came to be his friend. We are completely different.

"I heard you let the filthy Kradanian get away"

Sigh!

"I did not" he hated Kradanian. That freaking King is losing his mind.

"What message did he left?" Ilang segundo pa akong natahimik dahil hindi ko alam kung anong isasagot ko sa kanya.

"Did you tell the King?"

"Not yet. He urge me to escort you here. I'll tell him when i get back" i was supposed to report about the second Kradanian Prince.

"What did they want this time? I already compelled the force on the border. I don't mind doing it again" he really is a hardheaded. Is his head filled with only battle and killing dark mages of enemy kingdom? Did he never get tired of fighting? Because i am.

"They want the Kradanian blood" he stopped on his track without opening his mouth. The path we are walking suddenly filled with silence, but i can feel his killing intent. This man looks calm, but i surely know, he wanted blood in his hand.

"Tsk! As if we are going to hand him over to them. That child is in the Academy. Who knows what they will do if we hand him to them" the atmosphere suddenly feels heavy.

He shook his head and massage his forehead. The atmosphere returned to normal. I don't feel anything dangerous anymore.

I took a deep breath and pat his shoulder.

'grrrr!'

A sudden growl came from in-front of us.

It seems like we came across something dangerous compared to the previous one.

"Finally" Kinro held his sword tightly as he let out a glint of killing intent.

Hm?

The beast slowly came out of the dark and stood before us.

"Finally. Something worthy"

Blaze?

Wait. What is he doing here? He is supposed to be in the Academy.

"I'll take out my frustrations in you" my eyes widen when Kinro ready himself to attack.

Oh no.

"Wait, Kinro---"

"Nooo! Don't!"

A shout erupted from behind Blaze, keeping Kinro stand rooted on his spot.

Huh?

"No! Wait!" She held on to Blaze while catching her breath.

"Don't. Please don't kill him. He's my friend" she turned her gaze on me, making her eyes widen in surprise.

"Tanda. Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Kinro glanced at me, questioning me on what is happening.

"Uhh. We're subjugating monsters. And you? What are you doing here? You're supposed to be in the Academy" she smiled awkwardly and laugh.

"Of course not. I'm here to take something i left behind" left something behind?

Hm?

She's lying.

"What is happening?" I thought i finally faced something worthy, but something unexpectedly happened.

"Uh. That is the child in my care" i eyed her from head to toe.

I know that Lexus took care of someone, but i never thought this is the child he's talking about.

But there is something that caught me.

"Child. Is he your friend?" She glanced at the tiger beside her and nod.

"Uh...yes" i sheath my sword back to my scabbard. Lexus stepped forward until he stopped in-front of the child.

I was staring at her. I don't think she's a Kradanian, but the more i look at her, the more i can feel something unusual.

I felt something dangerous lingering in her. Although i can't point it, but i know there's some powerful aura lingering around her.
