I was on my way to the Fire Cave. The King asked me to, the moment i got back. Since this is the season for the Tanua Queen to let loose out of hunger. We have to destroy her children even before they hatch. The threat this time is much more compared to last year. We can't let them loose all the way to the empire, much less spread their poison everywhere.

I glanced at the person beside me. His stoic expression reminds me of his eldest son. When it comes to fighting and expression, him and his son are completely the same.

"If you have something say, then say it" even his emotionless cold voice.

I can't help but sigh.

No matter how many years passed, he is still the same.

"Yes!" Napatakip nalang ako ng tenga dahil sa sigaw nila.

How enthusiastic.

Hindi ko nalang sila pinansin at binilisan nalang ang takbo ng kabayo hanggang sa makarating sa lagusan ng kweba.

"Watch your back"

We always keep our guards up dahil delikado ang panahon ngayon. The Tanua Queen is hungry and is out to devour, so the beasts and other monsters are on the run. Hindi malayo na makasalubong namin sila.

Hindi nga kami nabigo dahil sa mga nakasalubong namin na mga halimaw. Every corners of the cave hides dangerous beasts and monsters.

I wonder if she encountered this before when she tamed the Fire Tiger.

"Blood" i can smell a strong scent of blood.

"Go and find the Tanua Queen and it's hatchlings" the Knights dispersed to different location to find it's whereabouts. The two of us continue to search for other monsters, but for some reason, it's quiet.

"It's odd" we continue to walk forward and was stunned by the scene in front of us.

"What happened here?" He asked in questionable expression with his eyebrows fixed in a straight line.

A pile of monsters corpse are before us. I kneel down and traced the blood with my fingers.

"The flesh and bloods are still fresh. It seems like someone came here before us" the cuts on their bodies are still fresh. Someone came here and it's only a while ago.

But...who is it?

Pagkatapos ko sa braso niya ay agad kong pinunasan ang mukha niya. There are minor bruises on his left chin and the corner under his right eye.

Wow. This is the first time i see his face this close.

His ahem...lips---no! What am i thinking.

Damn it!

I took a deep breath and continued wiping his face. His face is really...this man is so good-looking. His face is definitely my type.

"You'll burn a hole in my face" agad na napadako ang tingin ko sa mga mata niya na matiim na nakatitig sa'kin.

It feels weird.

I feel like i'm the one having a fever. My face feels hot.

Agad akong umiwas ng tingin.

"I ummm... I'll go out to find Blaze. Stay here" i need to get away from him. His face is not good for my heart.

Napahinto ako ng lakad bago siya lingunin. Nakahawak siya sa kamay ko.

My gosh! My inner self is screaming right now.

Calm down. I need to calm down.

"You cried. Your tears. Is it real?"

"Why?" I asked him seriously.

"You took the words right out of my mouth. Why?" His expression is blank I can't fathom what he's thinking.

"Even if you ask me that..."

"Why?" I glanced at his hand holding mine.

"This is the first time someone has hurt so badly in front of me that I can't do anything but cry. I feel...weak...powerless" he gripped my hand tighly but his expression is still the same.

The warmth in his hand sipped through my skin all the way to my cheeks. My chest feels weird. My stomach feels like something is in a knot.

"I---i have to find Blaze" mabilis kong binawi ang kamay bago siya talikuran. Nakahinga lang ako ng maluwag nang makalas ako ng portal.

I held my pounding chest and sat on the cold ground

This is not good.

He...is definitely not good for my heart.
