"Wha-" I gasp and jerk myself awake in a fright when a car door suddenly slams shut

"Dammit, Sam!" Bucky grumbles angrily. "You fucking woke her up."

"Sorry." Sam whispers like I'm still asleep

"Jesus." I roll my eyes as I look around to see Sam through the back window, carrying all ten trays of the Oreos with an excited smile and Bucky softly closing his door. "Hmm." I hum as I relax back into the seats and close my eyes, wanting to fall back asleep however, it is interrupted for a second time when Bucky opens my door and crouches down to my level

"Come on, doll. You have to go upstairs." Bucky whispers and runs his hand through my hair all the way down to my waist where he unbuckles my seatbelt. "You can sleep up there in your big comfy bed with your new stuffed animal." He further convinces me

"Can you carry me?" I sleepily ask with a smile

"You don't have to ask." He returns the smile and grabs my backpack to throw it around his broad shoulders before he grabs me under my arms and lifts me from the car like I was a feather with his strength

"Good." I slide my legs and arms under his flannel where I immediately feel the warmth radiate off of him like my own portable fireplace that relaxes back into sleep. "Warm." I mutter in a hum that gets a soft chuckle in return

I rest my head on his shoulder as he shuts my car door and walks over to the elevator where Steve waits for his best friend with a happy smile as he watches Bucky holding me tight to his body as I slowly start to fall back asleep and lose my strength to hold on. Bucky walks us into the elevator and Steve presses the button to the living room with the two men updating each other on their lives in soft voices like how Natasha has been excited and dying for us to come home so she can pull me aside and ask for details which will happen the second JARVIS tells her we just got home but I hope I can sleep before then.

As they talk about how I won a little boy a drone and changed it into Iron Man's colors as well as Bucky winning the girl a giant stuffed elephant, I sink lower and lower into sleep from the deep voice of Bucky lulling me to sleep as he talks about facing his fear of heights just to capture that perfect moment and memory with me. My legs begin to loosen from his waist while my arms fall down to my thighs but thankfully, he catches my legs and slides his hands from my back to under my thighs to keep me against his body so I don't fall which, I never will with him and just as I am about to fall back asleep, one part of their conversation catches my sleepy attention.

"Did you tell her?" Steve asks and keeps his voice low to avoid waking me up

Too late, bitch but keep going.

"Yup." Bucky replies with a smile I don't have to see to know it's there. "I said the words." He confirms happily

"So, your plan worked?" He asks with a winning light laugh

"It did." He nods against my head. "Caught every moment of it just the way I wanted."

"You'll have to show me the pictures." He silently celebrates his friend's happiness that beats fast under his shirt and chest where my ear lays

"I will, but not now." He promises. "She just fell back asleep."

"You better head to the living room before Sam eats all of the Oreos." Steve suggests and that wakes me up fully as I tighten my hold around Bucky's waist and lift my head off of his shoulder to look over at Steve with a sleepy menacing look that is not directed at him

"I swear to God if that fucking bird even thinks about touching mine." I sneer sleepily

"Okay, doll." Bucky chuckles and slips a hand up my back to press me back to his chest. "He won't eat them." He promises
