I tremble in my shoes as I try to focus on the small static but warm feeling flowing up my neck and into my cheeks of my magic charging instead of the broken concrete room embedded in my eyelids that forces me to stare at the six foot brunette stalking towards me with blazing blue eyes that shine through the black makeup smudged around his eyes. I can't blink away the obvious fact of who the man is that is dressed in black leather and cargo pants that are dangerously strapped with weapons of all kinds adding to the silver metal arm with the large red star on his shoulder that is like a scar that was seared across the top of my brain with a white hot branding iron so I never forget him.

The Winter Soldier.

HYDRA always told me he was bad and made sure it was the first thing I thought of every time I woke up after my five minute nap every couple of weeks, that I needed to get rid of The Winter Soldier and that's why they were training me. To get rid of their failed experiment and his friend who saved him on multiple occasions but as of right now, my feet are rooted to the ground unable to move as he walks- stalks towards me but, I don't feel murder and hatred sitting in his chest when my magic connects with him. It's actually love and devotion hidden behind his clenched jaw and balled up fists that need to be filled with something it can easily crush.

The whole demeanor of his appearance versus his emotions are confusing me as I stare up at him when the tips of his shoes meet mine and swallow thickly while trying to keep my breathing normal but it ends up coming out in short bursts. He smiles softly when he looks me up and down and lifts his left hand up to the side of my face, brushing my hair back instead of smashing my face in a nearby wall I can't see. I don't flinch at the movement when the smooth metal plates rake through my hair, tucking it behind my ear where his touch feels comforting and his voice is probably one of the most soothing things I've ever heard  when he speaks and contrasts his appearance.

"Baby, it's time to wake up." The soldier smiles as his voice echos through the black void around us. "You're so beautiful when you sleep. Look so peaceful." He mumbles but I only focus on what he said before

Wake up?

"N-no?" I speak as my face falls into deeper confusion and he mirrors my expression before his eyes snap down to my chest that is slowly staring to move faster under his gaze. "No? What are you do-" I try to ask. "Don't hurt..." I breathe when I can't catch my breath

"Doll, come on wake up for me, please." The solider now begs when his face falls in worry and he rests his hand on the side of my neck. "It's okay, Y/n. You're safe." He reminds me

"No? Just leave me alone!" I breathe heavily and look at the man who has a concerned look on his face, begging me to wake up. "Go away!" I scream at him but he never moves and grows more concerned

"We're alright, babydoll. Everything is okay." He ignores me as the static in my cheeks have now made it to my forehead, completing the charge on the top of my head. "Just wake up for me, please, baby. You're safe." He begs and suddenly, the ground opens up and I fall through the opening, trying to reach for The Winter Soldier who just looks at me in worry as he watches me fall into a black abyss

"... No!" I feel my body slam into the mattress when I am startled awake with a gasp and my eyes snap open to look at the blue ones from my dream. "James." I whisper and stare wide eyed, afraid to move when I see the same hair and eyes but I know it's not him when he has facial hair and a black metal hand resting on the side of my neck

"Y/n?" Bucky says softly. "What is it, babydoll?" He asks

"I don't -" I look around the room to see white walls and dark hard wood floor with Bucky squatting in front of me beside the nightstand that holds my phone and a glass of water
