When Peter and I got home, he went straight up to his room to either fix his suit or read his comics while he eats his food before he catches Tony in his office doing Fury's work so the kid can secretly go down to the lab and bribe Hulk to not to let Bruce rat him out. When I got into the kitchen which was empty, I labeled Bucky's food so no one- I mean Sam eats it and I place it on the island with a small spell so it wouldn't get gross while I headed upstairs to grab my laundry. I decided to do our laundry from our trip since there is so much and I have too much time on my hands with no update from JARVIS so I assume that everyone is okay and that eases my nerves just a little. My new book sits inside of the empty laundry basket along with our laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets that sits on top of my large hamper that rolls behind me when I drag it out of the elevator.

Our laundry room is huge with different sized washing machines like a laundromat and since I do both mine and Bucky's laundry at times when he doesn't do it, I have to use the bigger machines. I hum a nameless tune as I start mindlessly tossing in our clothes in and fill the soap containers up with a scent Bucky and I agreed on using if we were going to wash our clothes in the same load because he didn't want to smell like vanilla and I refused to use his woodsy scent because I only like it on him. I hung my coat back up in my closet and tucked Bucky's dog tags back under my sweater so they touch my skin on top of my worried heart as I turn the washing machine on with a sigh and roll my now empty hamper over to the large couch that I materialized when I would just wait down here for my clothes to get done when I had nothing better to do. I lay on the couch with my legs crossed, reading my book and I make it about five chapters in which is a long ass time when I hear a familiar voice I've only heard once.

"Doing laundry to pass the time too, huh?" Niles greets when walking into the room with his own large hamper of clothes

"Hey, Niles." I smile and sit up and while placing my book in the empty laundry basket. "Yeah, just waiting for Bucky to get back."

"I feel you." He chuckles deeply. "Zak is out with them now." He sighs and starts filling the washer next to the one I'm using

"They called SHIELD?" I ask and cross my legs at the knee

"Only a small team went out and Zak is one of the commanders so he always goes." He explains

"So, they're okay." I mumble to myself and relax in my seat

"They are." He nods and starts his load before coming over to sit next to me. "I've been freaking out all day too." He sighs as he sits on the cushions he runs his hands over nervously

"It's just hard not being able to be there incase something happens." I sigh

"So, you can stop or prevent it from happening." He adds

"Exactly!" I nod and rub my forehead. "That last mission we were on, an enchanted tried to take over Bucky's mind and if I wasn't there to put the spell on his mind, I don't think he would be with me right now." I rant fearfully

"But, he's here now safe and sound." He says and gently puts a large hand on my shoulder. "You cant fuss over the things that didn't happen, Y/n."

"You're right." I glance at him with a small smile. "Thanks, Niles."

"No problem." He smiles back and drops his hand. "So, what have you two been up to?"

"Well, we just got back from Louisiana after spending almost two weeks there and I think he has a date planned soon but he won't tell me where or when it is." I shrug and stand up to switch the laundry over when mine is done

"I've never been there." He gets up to follow me over once my voice gets muffled when I have to duck into the washer to grab the clothes

"Me neither." I grunt softly as I piling as much laundry as I can in my arms. "But, it's a beautiful state... or the part I went to at least. Do you mind?" I ask while motioning to the closed dryer with my head
