"Ah!" I gasp as my eyes snap open and I suck in a sharp chilling breath that I wasn't ready for when my mind snapped to my head. "Ugh! Ugh!" I hyperventilate my breaths
It was like getting getting thrown into a metal tub of ice water in your sleep, it shocks the whole body and forces my hands fly to my face to rub the many memories swarming my head as they rewind and confuse themselves since there are now two, one with Bucky and I in the corner and the original ones. As my fingers are pulling the skin on my cheeks down taking my eyelids with them, Bucky's eyes open calmly after feeling no effects.
"Baby?" Bucky groggily speaks before he sees my eyes darting around to look at the city below us in the now dark sky with stars shining above us. "Y/n?" He says more alertly
"Ah- hmm... mmm!" I continue to abnormally breathe as I jump up from the floor to mall walk away from the edge while hastily pulling off my coat that got me overheated
I drop it to the floor as my breathing picks up and tears flow down my face after seeing and hearing my parents vividly- so clearly for the first time since they passed and it seems like my mind can't keep up when I walk in different directions while holding my head and chest that throbs from the use of magic and the pain of my lungs not working properly like they should as they take in those painful hiccup breaths
"моя любовь." Bucky gets up from the ground and comes up to me. "Come here, it's alright." He whispers and wrap his arms around me to hold me to his chest while putting pressure on mine
"Ugh." I grunt a sigh at the relief starting to spread. "Uh..." I sigh heavily
"It's okay." He reminds me in a soft voice. "You're okay, babydoll."
"God, it was so real." I pant while grabbing onto his shirt under his coat
"I know, precious." He agrees before a moment of me trying to calm down passes. "Are you overheated?" He asks. "You're burning up, doll."
"Mhm." I nod but do nothing to help myself when he is helping me the most. "I'll be fine in a minute." I breathe
"How's your percentage?" He brushes my hair back that whips in the cold wind
"Thirty two." I estimate
"Okay, we can go to bed after this but I need you to match my breathing." He says. "Can you do that for me, babydoll?" He asks
"Yeah." I nod against his chest and start to take longer, deeper, but choppy breaths that are in sync with Bucky's and slowly smooth out until I rest my weight against his body
"There you go." He rubs my back and squeezes me when I take a smooth deep breath. "Good job, baby. I'm so proud of you." He smiles when I look up at him
"Thank you." I whisper. "I can't do that without another person and it was nice to see my parents again." I smile softly
"Always." He replies and his face changes from his smile to a look of concern. "Are you okay?" He asks
"Yeah." I nod. "I'm perfect." I sigh and he smiles softly
"Your magic." He shakes his head. "I don't even know what to say." He sighs a chuckle. "It is absolutely beautiful and I am so lucky and privileged that you trust me to show me everything."
"I can feel it here." I chuckle and lift my head off his chest to pat with my hand. "Even if you can't describe it, I can feel it." I smile and he he says nothing else and just smiles wide while moving his hands to my face to pull my lips to his
"Hmm." He hums when his lips hit mine with force, earning a grunt and a laugh from me when I peck his lips and back away to wipe my lips off and check for blood
