"Seems like I'm getting closer and closer to growing out that beard Natasha always wants to see me in." Steve comments with a sigh as he sits down on a log before sipping from a water bottle
"Why's that?" I ask while following him to sit beside him and accept my water bottle he pulled from our small backpack. "Has she been asking?" I laugh when I see his nod and eye roll
"I can't even get in a 'Hello, dove. How was your day?' before she asks about you." He waves his hand to mock his girlfriend
"Is that a bad thing? I mean, should I be apologizing right now?" I correct myself and Steve laughs as he shakes his head
"No, no, Y/n. You're fine." He sets a hand on my knee. "I knew she would ask. They all have been." He says
"Oh." I hum and continue to sip my watered down vitamin water that is still cold from the ice
"Especially your two dads." He mentions and I look at him confused with the open bottle still between my lips. "Tony and Clint." He clarifies in obvious
"Oh!" I blurt and twist the cap back on the bottle. "Right, sorry." I sigh and set the water between my feet. "Keep forgetting." I wave a hand at my head and he gives me a look
"Have you been journaling?" He asks and turns towards me
"A lot." I nod. "Especially this morning." I smile to myself
"Whoa." He hums as he sits forward in his seat with an open mouth smile when trying to look at mine better. "What is that smile for, dolly?" He asks excitedly
"What smile?" I play dumb
"Oh, don't be like that." He moves his elbow to nudge me gently but his strength makes me catch myself on my right hand. "Tell me." He pushes verbally and physically
"There's nothing to tell." I shrug and press my smile together as I wipe my hands together to get the bark pieces and dirt off my palms
"Yes, there is." He disagrees heavily and laughs when I sigh a smile and drop my head. "There is! There totally is!" He kicks his feet, not minding the fact that he is airing out my business right now
"Okay, Golden Boy!" I laugh and turn to place a hand on his shoulder. "Just shut up before I get two little kids coming after me to know too." I whisper sternly so he unconsciously follows my tone and he does
"Can I tell Nat?" He whispers in an impatient, rushed manner to know what it is
"No!" I shake my head with wide eyes. "Literally anyone but her." I plead with him
"Promise." He smiles and leans in, now waiting for me to spill the secret
I look at the back of the house from the tree line we sit and search for any nosey teenagers that may be lurking around and once I find none with super soldier hearing like their uncle next to me, I hold up my hand to cover my mouth and Steve's ear. His trimmed hairline is slick with sweat and makes me cringe when it transfers to the side of my hand but his reaction is way bigger than a little sweat that dripped off the corner of his sharp jaw.
"Bucky and I had sex last night." I whisper the information and his smile drops along with his eyes going wide and I sit back before hesitantly poking the once again frozen soldier on the shoulder. "Cap?" I chuckle nervously. "Steve? Stevie? Steven?" I try again and his eyes slowly move towards me that catches every other tree in the property horizon
"You two..." Steve hesitates and connects his eyes with mine that widen a little because of his demeanor. "You and Bucky... h-had sex last night?" He asks and I nod a little staggered
