The restaurant that Bucky pulled up to was something I was not expecting at all. It looked like a cross between a church and a museum with crystal golden chandeliers hanging from the arches and very thin glass concealing nothing on the inside so I can see the red carpet walkway and the many people who are dressed to walk the runway. Bucky gets out of the car and walks around the front to grab me and smiling at my complete awe and starstruck reaction of the restaurant he picked out. He did a really good job for someone who doesn't like fancy places or expensive dinner dates and because it's Valentine's Day, there are a shit ton of couples waiting outside to be seated dressed in the same colors of white, pink, red, and purple.

Classic Valentine's colors.

"I can see why you chose black." I speak while threading my fingers through his

"You also look gorgeous in black." Bucky smiles down at me

"You've never seen me in a black dress." I chuckle

"My shirts are basically the same thing on you." He jokes and I roll my eyes playfully

We laugh as we walk up to the door, completely ignoring the long line of couples which confuses me and them for a moment before Bucky greets the guy at the front and shakes his hand- surprising me again when the man lets us through and ahead of all of the other couples who say nothing at all. We walk through the doors and into an open room that is full of white clothed tables with matching chairs that look too soft and more homey. Near the back of the room is a large open area with a huge chandelier and a small rise platform that changes from black carpet to wooden planks and looks like a stage so I wonder if there is a live band or something.

As I am looking at the palace archways that just makes my jaw drop, a waitress catches us looking around with Bucky more composed and me looking like an absolute child as she comes over and she leads us to a table with the classic candles, wine glasses, and empty platters to hold our plates of whatever we order out of the kitchen that makes no noise but emits the good smelling food. Bucky walks to one side of the table and pulls back the chair to take my coat off for me and I smile at the gestures he claims he is out of practice for and pushes in my chair as I sit down then walks to his side of the table.

"Is it too fancy for us?" Bucky asks while grabbing the wine bottle the waitress left

"I haven't decided yet." I shrug and look around while taking a deep breath. "It's empty." I mention after clicking my tongue softly

"It will fill up soon." He says and pours wine in our glasses. "But." He adds before I can get anxious. "It's just us. Nobody will bother us." He promises while holding his hand out on the table after he sets the bottle down

"I trust you." I smile and unfold my arms from my lap. "And I love you." I add as I place my right hand in his left that he grabs and brings up to his lips, kissing my knuckles

"I love you more, beautiful." He returns and I smile at his reassurance that we are alright and his slight teasing because if we both hate fancy restaurants and willingly came out here, we are going to make fun of the other couples who are too lovey dovey

"Hello." The same waitress suddenly greets and breaks our eye contact. "My name is Carrie. I'll be your server for tonight. What can I get started for you guys?" She smiles with her customer service voice as she has a white knee length dress of with short sleeves and a small black apron tied tightly around her waist. She has long, brown auburn hair and green eyes that honestly reflect happiness with her job

It's probably good paying with how fancy everything is.

"I think we are getting the same thing." Bucky speaks for us after looking at my unsure expression when the sudden social anxiety sky rockets in my chest, rendering me speechless
