I sit down on the couch and set Maverick to my left before placing his bottle in between my knees so I unclip his little seatbelts and bring him out of the one place he seems to always be in which is this dammed carseat. His eyes flutter open from his two second nap and he looks at me with these light brown eyes that shine bright when he looks at me and a small smile lifts at his plump pink lips as I smile back, trying to get these unreasonably hard clips to unlatch but it could be my lack of strength in my left hand since I am right hand dominant.

"Hi, sweetie." I coo and laugh when he lets out a small squeak of noise. "I bet you're hungry, huh? Don't worry, baby. I got you." I reassure him and when the last buckle snaps open, I pull them apart and position my hand under his small body to lift him from the carseat and against my chest where I support his head more than anything. "You gotta bear with me little guy." I tell him when his face scrunches at the movement. "I only got one arm."

He seems to understand my words and calms down going back to his happy little self with his big gummy smile and squinted eyes with how chubby his cheeks are. I sit back on the couch and hold his body so his light blond head of hair rests against the bend of my arm as I cradle the side of his body with my forearm and hand. I grab the bottle from my knees and use a small warming spell to heat up the formula slightly when I notice it's cold and this is when I really thank my magic and use my powers to hold the bottle up to his mouth. He lifts his tiny hands to the bottle and drinks happily at his milk while I tell him how handsome he is in his onesie. His eyes stay on mine as he sips from his bottle that progressively gets lighter and lighter.

He tries to hold it like a big man but his little hands barely hold onto the curved side of the bottle so I keep my magic strong with a blue film that surrounds the clear plastic bottle, catching his eyes every so often but when he's had enough, he bats his long eyelashes and looks back up at me, smiling with the bottle in his mouth. He flails his arms when he actually has had enough and I teleport the bottle to my hand then to his carseat. I don't have much experience with babies but I do know that after this, you have to burp them which I will pass on so instead, I lift my knees up to my chest and move Maverick so he sits on my lower stomach with his head cradled between my knees and his legs resting across my stomach and sling.

"This might feel weird but, I think you'll like it." I tell him as I raise my healing magic

Something I learned in the healing book was when an infant is not burping correctly, I can use a spell to move the air pockets around and up his throat so he can burp and before the healing book, I had absolutely no knowledge about babies so I tilt my head back and look at the ceiling.

"Thank you, Frigga. This will come in handy for the future." I whisper knowing Heimdall will pass on my message

I look back down at Maverick and place my glowing hand on his little bloated belly to start on moving the small air bubbles upwards. He smiles and giggles when it tickles and he grabs onto my hand as small little gusts of air pass through his small lips that gets drool everywhere which makes me cringe only a little because it's a gross mess.

"You're so cute." I smile when watching him grab onto my glowing thumb and pointer finger

I don't like kids, but newborns have my heart wrapped tightly around their little chubby fingers.

"There we go." I speak when there are no more burps left in his full tummy so I lift my hand from his stomach but his face scrunches and his bottom lip pushes out into a pout, threatening to cry at the loss of my magic. "Hold on, sweetie." I chuckle and twirl my fingers until a small towel from my bathroom appears. "I have to clean your face."

I don't trust the rough looking cloth that sticks out of his little blue bottle bag sitting on the table so I opt for a softer one from the tower. With the towel wrapped around the tip of my finger, I gently wipe away his drool and excess milk that didn't quite make it into his mouth. He shakes his head back and forth trying to get away from my touch and I laugh at his adorable annoyed face despite him being uncomfortable. He finds my laughter contagious and kicks his feet against my chest when falling into his own fit of high pitched giggles so I get rid of the towel and his laughter stops when he sees the blue sparkles.
