Ranboo looked up from his book when he heard Tubbo and Tommy returning from whatever they were out doing. They were talking about their favorite parts of the adventure, laughing at a few of the happy moments. Ranboo softly chuckled as he heard them say one of the funny parts before laughing hard.
The pair came into the room and Tubbo smiled "Hey big man. You really should've come" Ranboo said "Yeah yeah I know. It sounded like fun, but I had to stay back to edit videos. You know this already"
Tubbo fake pouted "The videos could've waited" Ranboo sighed "No it couldn't because if I delay them any further, I'm gonna end up forgetting to edit"
Tubbo mumbled an "I know" and Ranboo patted his head, standing "Well. I'm gonna go and go on a walk." He waved the pair a goodbye before sliding on his shoes and walking outside.
He put his ear buds in his ears before clicking on a random playlist. He put his phone into his pocket before sliding his hands in after, starting to walk down the street. He hummed along to the songs, quiet enough so he wouldn't end up embarrassing himself.
He was happy and vibing and honestly just calm. It was peaceful. It was early fall so it wasn't too hot nor too cold. It was the perfect temperature. There was a gentle breeze and the sounds of nature were calm.
He continued walking, eventually landing himself at the boardwalk over the water. He stopped and leaned against the railing that would stop anyone from falling.
He looked down at the water, smiling small under his mask. He paused his music and took his ear buds out so he could listen to the sounds of nature. The ocean was quite peaceful since it was now nearing fall. Not much people went down...
His eyes traced over the blue surface, breathing softly as he was drawn towards it. He just wanted to reach over and touch the water, but knew that he could fall in and he did not want to walk back drenched.
He turned to leave when he was hit with a memory. It was of when he was younger. He swallowed harshly, feeling his mood falter. It had been of when he first attempted...
He wasn't in a good mindset and his parents taking away his games was the final straw. He had gone into the bathroom and locked it behind him, filling the bathtub and..
His eyes flicked over the water and breathed shakily. He didn't want to leave now, but.. Some days he was curious... How it would feel to let go..? Would it be peaceful..? Would all of the stress of life go away...?
Before he knew it, he had climbed the railing and was sitting on it with his eyes dead on the water. It felt so tempting... To let go of the railing and fall.. It felt so easy.. Like it was almost second nature..
After what felt like forever, he dropped. He let go of the railing and fell sideways, twisting in the air as he faced up. It felt so slow to watch the world slowly pass by, your arms and legs flying up because of gravity.
His air was hit out of him as soon as his back hit the water surface, feeling himself float down. He stared up in the blurry water, calm. This was... Peaceful. And calm. He felt... Happy.
He shut his eyes and let himself relax, letting out a soft breath. Soon the water started to fill his lungs and he had flashes of life flash before him. He didn't dare open his eyes.
He didn't want it to hit him that he was saying goodbye without saying goodbye. He didn't want to face the truth. He just wanted to float away to where he was happy and peaceful.
He heard faint calls of Tubbo and Tommy's voices calling for him, but he didn't respond. He didn't open his eyes and swim up or show signs that he was there. It was most likely nothing..
He continued hearing the voices shouting and he tiredly opened his eyes, seeing two figures swimming on down after him.
His eyes kept on opening and closing slowly. He was finally understanding what was happening... He was drowning... His eyes finally shut..
One of the figures pulled him up and immediately Tubbo went straight for CPR, trying to get the water out his lungs. Tubbo beat on his chest and did mouth to mouth and...
Ranboo's eyes snapped open and he turned to the side, coughing up water. He started shaking in coldness "ugh.. My head hurts.." He mumbled.
Suddenly he got attacked in a hug "Oh thank fucking god! You're alive!" Ranboo grabbed his sunglasses from beside him, fixing it on his face "Of course I'm alive? What are you saying?"
"What he's saying is that you were fucking drowning. Without him you would be dead"
Ranboo looked over at the blurry Tommy "Oh." Tubbo slapped Ranboo and stood "What the hell were you thinking? You said you were going on a walk! If Tommy and I didn't start getting worried and go out searching for you, you would've been dead!"
Ranboo looked between them both "Look I.. I'm sorry for worrying you both. I seriously was on a walk though. I.. I guess I sat on the boardwalk and must've accidentally dozed off or something"
Tubbo and Tommy looked at him quietly, judgefully. They were both angry as they thought Ranboo had purposely done this.
Finally Tubbo spoke "Don't go outside when you're sleepy, okay big man? You seriously could die and we won't be there to stop whatever happens" Ranboo nodded "Yeah of course. I learned my lesson. Thank you Tubbo. Thank you Tommy."
Tommy pulled Ranboo up and said "Let's just head back." Ranboo nodded and the three started to head back to Tubbo's house, not speaking a word to each other.
