A/N: Before I start, I just wanted to show you what Magnus looks like, huge credit goes to my sister for drawing Magnus.
A brief description of Magnus: He is a short, slim 12-year-old kid who is slightly stronger than Dipper(has a bit of muscle). He has short hair which is of the same colour as Dipper's. He also wears a pair of spectacles and is short-sighted like me.
Anyways back to the story.
We finally reach the Mystery Shack and meet our Grunkle Stan, the ex-con man, the owner of the Mystery Shack and the elderly man we were obliged to call Great-Uncle for the rest of the summer. After we finish unpacking our belongings, Grunkle Stan immediately puts us through our paces. I was busy wiping some tables in the Shack while Dipper was sweeping the floor. Mabel, on the other hand, was admiring and extolling the peculiar merchandise she found in the shack.
"Ooh!" she gasped in wonderment, reaching for the large eyeball on display before her hand gets swatted away by our very own grumpy Grunkle.
"No touching the merchandise!" Grunkle Stan berated.
As I continued wiping, I overhear Mabel squealing silently. "He's looking at it! He's looking at it!" 'I already know what happens here though.'
The boy read the slip of paper Mabel had written on earlier aloud. "Do you like me: Yes? Definitely? Absolutely!!"
Mabel bounces up and down, all giddy with excitement. "I rigged it!"
"Mabel, I know you're going through your whole Boy Crazy phase, but I think you're kind of overdoing it with the crazy part," Dipper informed her politely, trying his best not to offend the crazy girl that I now had to call my triplet.
"Yeah Mabel, why do you have to flirt with every single boy you meet?" I add.
"What?" she cries in outrage and blows a raspberry at both of us. "Come on, brothers! This is our first summer away from home! It's my big chance to have an epic summer romance!"
"Well, maybe you should tone it down a little, like you know, try not to flirt with every single boy you meet," I shrug, pursing my lips. "Just saying."
Mabel puts her hands on her hip defiantly. "Mock all you want, brothers, but I got a good feeling about this summer. I wouldn't be surprised if the man of my dreams walked through that door right now."
On cue, Grunkle Stan walks through the door and chokes on his own burp. "Oh! Oh, not good. Ow."
Dipper and I share a laugh while Mabel turns away in disgust. "Aww! Why!"
Stan clears his throat, addressing us when our laughter dies down entirely and our eyes were fully on him. "All right, all right, look alive, people. I need someone to go hammer up these signs in the spooky part of the forest." 'Oooh, my chance to see the journal!'
