Time Skip
Two days after that incident, Mabel, Dipper and I were playing a video game in the TV room.
"It's not a date-date, it's just, you know, I didn't want to hurt his feelings and so I figured I'd throw him a bone," Mabel explained, our eyes focused intently on the characters on the TV screen in front of us. 'Well, it's all fun and games until these characters come to life. Oh, wait, that actually happens in Episode ten.'
"Mabel, guys don't work that way. He's gonna fall in love with you," Dipper answered.
My view on the matter ad rem was almost congruous with that of Dipper's. "Dipper's right, Mabel. I don't want to go into the science of it but I can say with certainty that he will fall in love with you."
Mabel pouts in response. "Magnus, why do always have to side with Dipper?"
"Well, I hate to admit this but he's usually right about some things," I said in a disinclined manner, turning to look at Dipper who had a smug look on his face, his ego also probably at an all-time high at the moment.
"No, he isn't!" she blows a raspberry at me.
"Eww Mabel, don't do that, that is disgusting!" I exclaim in disgust, wiping off some of the salivae that had gotten on my face.
"Anyways, I don't think I'm that lovable," Mabel added, ignoring my previous statement.
"Kaboom! Yes!" Mabel shouted triumphantly after she shot my character in-game.
"Okay, we agree on something here," I agree in irritation and at the exact same moment, the Shack's doorbell sang, telling us, the inhabitants of the Shack that someone was here, someone particularly chubby and creepy that is.
Mabel dashes to the door and opens it, revealing Gideon who was riding a horse, taking Mabel aback and causing her to shriek in surprise, falling back and scrambling away from the said horse.
"A night of enchantment awaits, m'lady!" Gideon bowed chivalrously atop the horse, extending his minute hand to her.
"Oh boy," Mabel grins, her eyes already twinkling, awestruck by the majestic horse that currently stood in front of our Shack. She immediately gets onto the horse, the sprightly horse galloping away from the Mystery Shack seconds later at a blistering pace before we had a chance to even intervene.
"I don't think we can do much about that. We just have to trust that Gideon treats Mabel well," I pause, looking over at Dipper to seek confirmation of our stance regarding the matter, only continuing when he nods silently. "So what do you want to do now, Dipper?"
"Let's hang out at the gift shop, maybe help a few customers," he shrugged.
"I know you just want to hang out with Wendy, Dipper. Isn't that right?" I tease, staring at him knowingly.
Dipper blushes almost instantly at me mentioning Wendy's name.
"N-no?" Dipper stutters.
"Your red face and the spike in the release of dopamine and oxytocin in your body would say otherwise," I snicker.
"Sh-shut up, Magnus!" Dipper exclaimed, his face still painted a deep shade of red, punching me on the shoulder playfully. I scowl at him for a second and for once in my life, I decided to have mercy on him by laying off on the teasing temporarily.
We saunter over to the gift shop and see Stan looking at a newspaper, the front page comprising of pictures of Mabel and Gideon together.
"Hey, hey! What the jackal is Mabel doing in the paper next to that crazy pickpocket Gideon?" Stan asked, incandescent at the fact that Mabel was dating his adversary.
