Casey's POV:

I feel Magnus shove me aside roughly and so suddenly, causing me to stumble. I was about to scold him, confused and angered as to why he did that. Then it had all happened as fast as lightning, a ray and a flash of blue light and the next thing I knew, Magnus landed on the ground with a thud.

"MAGNUS!" I cry out, rush towards him and kneel beside him. 'Please be okay, please be okay.'

The twins seeing what happened, also came over to Magnus in a matter of seconds, crying in distress and shaking his body, desperately seeking a response from the unconscious boy.

We didn't notice the beam from the memory gun coming towards us at full speed until McGucket jumped in front of us and protected us from it.

"McGucket?" Dipper asked in confusion and worry. "You took a bullet for us?"

McGucket continued closed in on Blind Ivan while the latter continued firing at McGucket futilely, the memory gun unable to work its magic on McGucket at all. McGucket eventually knocks Ivan out and obtains his memory tube that had skittered to the floor and came to a halt after rolling about aimlessly for a few seconds. The memory gun also fell out of his clutches, skidding on the ground before coming to a stop.

While all that was happening, I looked down at Magnus, feeling his pulse just to ensure he was still alive. Thankfully, his pulse was still strong, indicating that he was only unconscious, nothing worse.

Wendy and Soos joined us soon after, both of them sharing the same grim look.

"This is not good," Soos said and shook his head repeatedly.

"Do you think he'll wake up? And will he remember us?" Wendy asked in a distraught manner.

"I don't know. Hopefully, he does," I replied her, trying my best to hold myself together and not tear up. 'Why would he even do that for me? I should have just stepped in front of him and taken the shot for him. Why didn't I do that?'

"As much as I would like to remain with Magnus now, I still need to deal with Ivan and all these other members. Soos, could you take him to the truck? Casey, you can watch over him in the truck. Mabel, Wendy and I will handle all this," Dipper gestured to Ivan and the memory tubes.

"We'll join you once we're all done. Hopefully, he'll wake up unharmed and fine," Dipper added.

Soos and I nodded affirmatively, with Soos immediately picking up the now insentient Magnus and bringing him to his truck, with me following in the tow.

Upon reaching the truck, Soos laid Magnus down, both of us sitting on either side of him. I held his hand, giving it a tight squeeze, hoping that he would wake up soon.

"Don't worry dude, I'm sure he'll wake up eventually," Soos told me gently, obviously trying to allay my fears.

"Thanks," I said and stared at Magnus' countenance sadly. 'Magnus, if you can hear me, please wake up,' I thought to myself, hoping that he had heard my thoughts. I was met with no response, meaning that he couldn't hear them at all.

A few minutes later, the twins and Wendy had returned to the pickup truck from their little escapade, the former members of the now-disbanded Society Of The Blinded Eye filing out of the museum in an orderly manner. 'Guessing they erased their minds.'

Soos had by now moved to the driver's seat, intermittently glancing back to check on Magnus. Wendy sat in front while the twins were sitting at the back with me. Since there was insufficient space at the back for all of us, we lifted Magnus up and placed his body on a makeshift bed in the form of our three laps, his head resting on mine.
