I was upstairs sleeping when music, akin to those played at discos or your local nightclub, drifts to my ears. 'Mabel and her pig,'
I groan loudly and yawn, still weary from yesterday's events and the fact that I slept late yesterday further compounded my exhaustion. I forced myself out of bed, climbed down the ladder that lead to my bed and went over to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I then changed into my normal outfit and headed downstairs.
I stop midway through my expedition down the staircase, not wanting to interrupt Mabel and Waddles. I peer at them for a while, waiting until Mabel falls face-first to the ground to make my move.
"Uh oh! Cuddle time!" Mabel sat up on the floor, waiting for Waddles to come over to her. Sure enough, Waddles approaches her, rubbing his body against hers affectionately. Both of them end up cuddling for at least a minute or two in silence that hung in the air, only for it to be broken by Mabel. "Waddles, can I tell you a secret? You're my favourite pig in the whole world."
She cradles Waddles gently, eventually dozing off with him in her embrace. I tiptoe down the stairs silently, deciding to take a picture of both of them with my phone seeing as how both of them looked adorable and endearing when they were in their state of repose. I sit beside them, hugging my knees as I had nothing to do.
A little while later, Stan steps foot in the Shack, counting his money gleefully and chuckling to himself, not noticing Mabel who was lying on the floor.
"Stan, stop!" I hiss quietly, not wanting to wake Mabel up.
He halts in his track, quirking his eyebrows questioningly. I point at Mabel and her pig in response, silently answering him.
Stan doesn't catch the memo, using his gruff and rough voice to speak to me. "What is she doing on the floor?"
"Being cute and great!" Mabel exclaims, shooting up and awakening from her slumber. Mabel then squishes her face and Wadddles' face to demonstrate.
"And I thought your brothers were weird."
I put my hands on my hip and glared at Stan. "I'm right here, Stan, if you didn't already know."
"No. Dipper's more like-" Mabel pauses, taking one of the pine tree hats that were available in the store, doing her best impression of Dipper. "Aaah! Let's solve a mystery! I kiss a pillow with Wendy's face drawn on it!"
"And Magnus is more like let's solve a scientific problem," Mabel attempts to imitate my voice but fails miserably because my voice is unique and to be fair, so are most voices.
"Hahaha. Those were pretty good," Stan laughs, grinning at Mabel.
"Yeah haha, very funny Mabel," I glower at Mabel. Mabel laughs nervously, turning away from me almost instantly.
She immediately turns her attention to Waddles, who was chewing on Stan's pants and instead of admonishing him, she cheers Waddles on. "Go, go! Chew that pant leg!"
"Ugh!" Stan groans and raises his leg in an effort to shake him off but he instead exacerbates the situation for him as Waddles manages to tear off a segment of his pants.
"Alright!" Stan opens the window that was closest to him, knocking on it with his staff. "Outside! Now!"
"No! Grunkle Stan! It's not safe for Waddles outside! There's predators! And barbecuers!" Mabel protests, rushing to Waddle's aid, hugging him and shielding him from Stan.
"That's just the natural order! It's not my fault your pig's potentially delicious!" Stan retorts.
"He should be inside like a person," Mabel argues.
