I wake up relatively early today, well, compared to other days that is. I check the time on my phone as usual. '7.50 am, not too early. Well, super early for my standards.'
I peer over my bed to check for the twins, who were already absent from the bedroom.
After brushing my teeth and slipping on a clean pair of shorts and shirt, I take my wallet from my suitcase. I open it to see if I had any US dollar notes and to my surprise, they were present and tucked in neatly. 'That's weird. The last time I checked, I only had British Pounds in my wallets.'
I shrugged at this and didn't think much of it. 'Maybe someone felt generous and left some money in my wallet, or, maybe, the Axolotl was feeling generous. Who knows?'
Slipping my wallet into my pocket, I walk downstairs to the living room after hearing some noise from the TV.
And to absolutely no one's surprise, there they were, watching some Ductecktive with Stan. The three of them look over at me once they became cognizant of my presence.
"Oh hey, Magnus! Want to watch some Ductecktive with us?" Mabel asked, her mouth filled to the brim with potato chips.
"No thanks Mabel and please don't speak to me with your mouth full."
Dipper then manages to catch my attention with his question, which he asks rather anxiously, "Magnus, could I...speak to you for a moment? Privately?"
"Sure," Both of us walked out of the room and halted once we reached the kitchen.
"So what is this all about?" I asked Dipper curiously.
"Look, I was thinking yesterday night about Bill and all and what you were saying the other day about him, how you were worried that he could harm us..." Dipper's voice wavers and trails off.
"Yeah, go on," I gesture for him to continue.
"Well, I think with the knowledge you possess, since you already know what's going to happen every day, maybe you could reveal what happens at the end of the show so that maybe, you know, we can stop Bill together?" Dipper asked me hopefully.
I shook my head firmly, "Absolutely not. I know Bill is a threat to all of us but if I revealed what happened to you now, the whole plot of the story might change."
Dipper sighs in frustration, "But you've used this excuse for the millionth time! I'm tired of always being in the dark about all these things and I'm sure Mabel is too! We need answers is what I'm trying to say. Think of all the things we could do if you just revealed a little of what you know!"
"Dipper, please, I don't want to get into an argument with you this early in the morning. I want to reveal these things to you two but I'm just afraid it may put you two in danger. Plus, I want to meet someone at 9 am so I need to go soon."
"Who is this person and why aren't you telling us these things? Do you not trust us anymore?"
I repudiated his claims, "No, it's not like that. I do trust you two, it's just that I- it's hard to explain to you right now. Fine, how about I cut you a deal? I'll tell you what happens today and in return, you can give me a little time and a little breathing space. We can discuss this again tomorrow, but not now. How does that sound?"
Dipper pondered on this for a moment before making his decision, "Fine, but on one condition, you tell me who you're meeting and where you're meeting this person?"
"Hmm....fair enough. I'm meeting Casey at Greasy's Diner and today, nothing much will happen since today's episode is based on a few flashbacks of the adventures we had together."
