Magnus' POV:
I finally wake up, putting on my glasses which restores my vision, the previously blurry surroundings becoming clearer. Checking my phone, I find out that it is currently 8.30 am.
I thought back to the dream I had yesterday as I ambled over to the bathroom. 'I got to protect Dipper. I'm not letting any of the wax statues lay a single finger on him.'
I brush my teeth briskly, quickly slipping on another graphic t-shirt I had brought along with me along with another pair of shorts once I was done.
I walk down the staircase and enter the kitchen, hearing the twins chatting amongst themselves in the living room, presumably watching Ducktective so I just leave them be. I help myself to the upright box of cereal on the kitchen table, adding some milk to go along with it, the carton in which it rested unsurprisingly almost fully depleted. As I sat down and nibbled on my cereal lacklustrely, I just couldn't stop thinking back to the dream I had yesterday, it just kept nagging and haranguing me internally. I force myself to stop pondering on it, thinking of other things to distract myself and focused on finishing my cereal. After washing my bowl, I decided to join the twins in the living room.
"That duck is a genius!" Mabel praised in awe.
"Eh," Dipper shrugged, preparing to downplay her praise. "it's easier to find clues when you're that close to the ground."
Mabel squinted sceptically at Dipper, putting her hands on her hips. "Are you saying you could outwit Duck-tective?"
"Mabel, I have very keen powers of observation. For example, just by smelling your breath, I can tell that you have been eating..." Dipper sniffs the air for a moment. "an entire tube of toothpaste?!"
"Well, even I could tell that you were eating an entire tube of toothpaste. I mean look at your mouth," I interject, inserting myself into their conversation. The twins are a little taken aback by my appearance but get back to what they were doing just as quickly.
"It was so sparkly..." Mabel admits guiltily, her mouth still stained with the light blue glitter from the toothpaste.
"Yeah, yeah," Dipper rolls his eyes. We know you're smart, Magnus. You don't need to remind us again."
I sit down next to Dipper, seeing my male triplet visibly tense up beside me, perhaps afraid that I was going to retaliate.
"Well, I am certainly not as smart as you are and dorky as you are," I retort.
"Hey!" Dipper shoves me to the ground and tickles me in an act of reprisal. I burst into a fit of giggles and just about manage to shove him off me. I scowl at him, about to return the favour when Soos interrupts us.
"Hey, dudes, you'll never guess what I found!"
I came close to Dipper, whispering in his ear, his breathing accelerating markedly, perspiring in the process as well. "You're lucky Soos came or you would have been dead meat."
Dipper audibly gulps so I put my hands around him to reassure him that it was just another one of my antics when in truth, it wasn't. "I was just joking, chill."
Dipper lets out a huge sigh of relief, slowly reverting back to his normal state. Me being mischievous as usual, I quickly threaten him, preventing an impish grin from creeping into my features. "I wasn't joking, we'll settle this tonight."
I quickly run off, following Soos and Mabel. I sneak a glance back at him, glad to see that my little joke had produced its intended effect as attested to by the look of pure terror etched on Dipper's face.
