I sneak downstairs to the living room, leaving Casey in bed since she just looked so serene in her repose. I already knew Dipper would be in the living room, watching that 48-hour marathon of Ghost Harassers.

"Be strong bladder,  we're not gonna move till sunset," I overhear Dipper saying to no one in particular.

"That's not very healthy," I remarked from where I was standing, startling and shocking Dipper.

"How long have you been standing there?"

"A minute ago. Do you happen to have room for one more?" I asked Dipper, who immediately moves some of the snacks that he had pilfered from the kitchen cabinets, patting on the now vacant seat next to him.

"Thanks, Dipper," I put my arms around him. "I'm just going to help myself to some of the snacks here if you don't mind.

"Go ahead and while you do that, mind telling me what's going to happen today?"

I finish eating a slice of pizza I had delicately procured before I answer his questions. "An old enemy of ours is coming to seek you for help."

"Pffft, we don't have that many enemies. Who could that enemy even be?" Dipper asked curiously.

"You'll see," I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie and munched on it contentedly, focusing on the TV screen until someone blocks my field of vision by sitting on my lap.

"What the?" I asked in stupefaction and after noticing the person's long blond hair, I realised that it was Casey.

"Casey, is that you?" I question, just to confirm my suspicions.

"No, it's Mabel," she answered sarcastically.

"Ha ha. Very funny, Casey. I can recognise your annoying voice from anywhere," I teased. She extends her arm backwards and hits me in the face, causing me to wince in pain.

"Ow! Do that again and I'll push you off."

"Quiet, both of you! The show is starting," Dipper whispered sharply, both of us giving him looks of apology. I began hugging Casey from behind, making her lean back into me.

Toby Determined interrupted Dipper's favourite show suddenly with his news broadcast. "We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news!"

"Aww, what?" Dipper asks in disappointment and vexation.

All of a sudden, Mabel bursts into the room and sat next to me. "It's starting!"

"Turn it up!" Candy shouted and sat next to Dipper.

"Make room for Grenda!" Grenda jumps onto the couch, breaking a lamp in the process.

While Toby was talking about the high-end party the Northwests were going to host and showed us live footage of the Northwest Mansion, Mabel, Candy and Grenda flopped to the floor and stared at the TV with literal stars in their eyes. "Oooooooooh!" All three of them squeal in unison.

The three of us on the couch, on the other hand, were not the least bit impressed. Dipper and I both glared at the TV, I don't know about Casey but I could guess that she was scowling at the TV as well at the mention of the Northwests.

"Okay, can someone please explain why people care about this?" Dipper asked irritatedly.

I nodded in agreement. "I know right, going to that party would just be a waste of time."

"Easy for you boys to say. It's pretty much the best party of all time. Rich food, richer boys!" Grenda stared at the TV dreamily.

"They say each gift basket has a live quail inside!" Mabel added.
