"Shoot, I was too late. I got to save the twins," I told myself and followed Gideon discreetly from behind, hiding behind trees and bushes from time to time to avoid being spotted.

Midway through the journey, I determined that the only way I could enter Gideon's room was through his window but I didn't have a ladder or any other equipment of the sort to climb up to his room. People would notice me if I did anything like that anyway so it was then that I decided to make a risky decision at that juncture, I would confront Gideon before he reached his house and fight him to get the twins back. 'Might as well do it, right here and now.'  I trail him closer and closer from behind. When I get close enough, I call out to Gideon, "Gideon!"

He was clearly frightened and startled by my abrupt appearance as attested to by how high he jumped. "Magnus," he says through gritted teeth.

"Let my brother and sister go, this instant," I demand.

"Or what?" Gideon taunts.

"This," I leapt at him and kicked him in the stomach, successfully knocking the jar he was holding out of his hand. The jar rolls on the ground and I could roughly make out Dipper and Mabel in the jar, holding each other tightly. Hence, I promptly stop the jar from rolling any further.

Gideon moans in pain and getting up, he retrieves the magic flashlight from his suit. He grimaces as he tries to shrink me with the flashlight but I dodge the magical ray of light, anticipating that he would do that. I just about manage to grab hold of one end of the flashlight, with Gideon grabbing the other end. However, regardless of how hard I pulled, Gideon just wouldn't let go of the flashlight and persisted in his efforts to win the flashlight back. Our tussle results in the flashlight flying in the air and landing on the floor right next to Gideon, much to my misfortune and dismay.

"Wait, no!" I try to seize the flashlight but of course, Gideon reached it first and shrunk me.

I silently curse and swear at myself for throwing caution to the wind, feeling Gideon placing me together with the twins in the jar and screwing the lid of the jar tightly. He obviously doesn't forget to take his prized possession flashlight lying on the floor, placing it in his suit.

He brought the jar to eye level and peered in, his gaze searching the interior of the jar and finally landing on me. "And I was wondering where you were, I didn't know you were tailing me from behind."

"I'll kill you, you obese, white hair swine!" I shout at Gideon from inside the jar, waving and shaking my fist at him.

"We'll see about that," Gideon stares at me intensely for an ephemeral period before he put the jar back in his suit and continues to tread back to his house with a lumbering gait, the kick in the stomach certainly having its ramifications.

Mabel slowly comes over to me, keeping her distance and softening her voice. "Calm down, Magnus."

"Both of you!" I snap, pointing at both Dipper and Mabel. "You guys just had to fight over who was taller, didn't you? If you two didn't fight, we wouldn't have been here in the first place!"

"We're sorry, Magnus," Mabel apologises, both of them looking down, evidently hurt by my scathing comments.

My features soften, relenting almost instantly after I realised what I had done. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say that. I wanted to save both of you but failed."

"It's okay Magnus, we saw what happened. What's important now is we stick together and devise a plan to defeat Gideon," Dipper says determinedly.

"Look guys, we're already almost at Gideon's house," Mabel points at the colossal structure in front, peeking out of the jar.
