I was aroused from my deep slumber by the dulcet tones of birds singing. I peek over my bed, noticing that the twins were still sound asleep. 'Well, that's a first.'
I check my phone and sure enough, it was only 7 am.
All of a sudden, a fetid stench hits my nose in a sickening wave, prompting to me crinkle my nose in disgust. 'What is that malodorous smell?' I scan the room, noticing nothing dirty or feculent in particular, and it was only then that I realised that the stench emanated from me.
"Might as well take a shower," I mutter quietly, not wanting to wake up the twins.
I take a change of clothes and my towel with me to the bathroom before I egress our shared bedroom discreetly.
Mabel's POV:
"Psst, Mabel. Wake up, I need to talk to you about something." Dipper whispered, waking me up from my dream about unicorns and glitter.
"What do you even want to talk about this early?" I question groggily, irked that he woke me up from that amazing dream.
He takes a seat beside me, his eyes locking with mine. "It's about Magnus."
I suddenly sat up on my bed, feeling reinvigorated after he mentioned Magnus. "What about him?"
"He's been acting weirdly lately ever since he came to Gravity Falls, don't you think?"
"Yeah now that you mention it, he has been..." My voice trails off as I thought back to what happened in the past few days and how he seemed to know everything. 'I mean, he's smart but he isn't psychic.'
"It seems to me that he could predict things that were going to happen and knows certain things that we don't know."
"Yeah like when he knew the Gobblewonker was in the lake!" I exclaimed.
"And what was with the picture I saw on his phone yesterday and that time when he accidentally said he was eighteen!" Dipper cried in worry.
"Don't worry bro-bro. We'll get to the bottom of this and whatever it is he's facing, we'll be there for him," I reassure, putting an arm around Dipper.
Dipper looks at me pensively, indicating that he was cogitating. "If we can't force him to reveal his secret, I guess we can only force him to make slip-ups at the moment," Dipper then abruptly gasps, startling me in the process. " Wait, I've got a plan!" Dipper whispers said plan into my ear.
Time Skip
Magnus's POV:
Soos shows Mabel, Stan and me around his favourite arcade in Gravity Falls, explaining the significance of each arcade machine along the way. "This is it dudes, my favourite place in Gravity Falls. Everything I know, I learned right here. A frog taught me how to cross a street. When my house was haunted, I learned how to eat ghosts. And this thing taught me how to dance." 'I needed a rest from everything that was going on so this is probably the only time you are going to see me going to the arcade.'
Old Man McGucket made a bunch of incomprehensible noises as he danced zealously on an out-of-order machine that had apparently taught Soos how to dance back in the day. "Woo-hoo-hoo! I've been jiggin' here for seven days straight!"
"Uh, Soos?" Mabel asks in confusion, holding the power plug to the aforementioned dance machine.
Soos leaned closer to Mabel and cupping his hand over his mouth, he whispers to her. "Let him have this."
"Huh?" I heard Stan ask in confusion abruptly, his eyes catching sight of an arcade machine named 'Insert Token', the instruction displayed on the screen of the machine echoing the title of the machine.
