Gideon Rises

I wake up after hearing an ear-splitting scream. Naturally, I get up from my sleeping bag, staring at the provenance of the sound which was Dipper, who was discharging panicked breaths and panting heavily on the bed he was sleeping on.

"I just had a horrible dream that Gideon stole the deed to the Mystery Shack, and kicked us out, and... we all had to move in with Soos' grandma?" Dipper rubs his head in confusion.

"That was no dream, dude," Soos informs Dipper nonchalantly.

Dipper yells again, causing me to cover my ears again and scowl at him. "Dipper, where are your manners?" I scold.

"Shh. Por favour." Soos' grandma told Dipper politely, putting her finger to her lips after she had switched the lamp on in the room.

"Uh, sorry, Abuelita," Dipper apologises sheepishly.

Without notice, Mabel walks up to Soos' grandmother and compliments her. "Oh, Soos, your grandma is so adorable!"

"And her skin is old lady soft," Mabel proceeded to touch her skin and rubbed it, squealing in wonderment as she did. Stan reprimands her before I could. "Mabel, quit being creepy! The news is finally on."

We all take our respective seats, looking at the television screen attentively. Shandra Jimenez appears on it, talking about the Mystery Shack and the 'surprising' change in ownership. Shandra then interviewed Gideon and asks him several questions. "Now that you have the Shack, what exactly are you planning to do with it?" 

"I have a big announcement to make today, and I'd like to cordially invite all the good people of Gravity Falls to join me. Free admission to anyone who wears their Gideon pins! It's my face!" Gideon winks at the cameras 'adorably'.

"I just can't believe Gideon beat us. Normally I'm able to save the day. This is all my fault," Dipper buries his head in his hands sadly. I sit down next to him and pat him on the back, trying to offer him solace in what was a really rough patch we found ourselves in. "Dipper, it's nobody's fault. No one on this planet could have predicted something like this would have happened." 'Well except for me because I've watched the show.'

"I should have known that Gideon would have a backup plan," Dipper grumbles exasperatedly.

"Don't worry, Dipper, Magnus. Looks like Mabel's going to have to be the hero of the family now. I'll defeat Gideon with my grappling hook!" Mabel declares, taking out her grappling hook proudly.

"Mabel, no offence, but that grappling hook has literally never helped us once," Dipper told Mabel candidly.

"Oh yeah? Jelly grab!" Mabel determined to prove Dipper wrong, shoots her grappling hook at a jar of jelly conveniently located right next to Soos' grandmother, subsequently causing the jar to break and the jelly inside the jar to tarnish the once immaculate walls.

"I vacuum the walls now," Abuelita said in a blasé manner. She pulls out a vacuum cleaner and began to vacuum the wall.

Soos attempted to offer us some solace. "So you lost the Shack. Look on the bright side, dudes! Now you get to live here with me, Soos! Hey, anyone want to play race cars? They're out of batteries but we can make pretend." Soos, for some reason, decides to spit out the two pieces of food he was chewing on after saying this. "Would that be a new low if I ate that? Haha, I'm just kidding, I'm totally eating it!" Soos pops it back in his mouth, causing me to turn away from him in disgust.

"We gotta get the Shack back," Stan announces plainly.

Time Skip

The next day, we reenter our stamping ground and former home, the Mystery Shack, which admittedly was looking like a pale shadow of its former self, in a physical and spiritual sense. The ambience and aura around it just didn't feel as it once was, joyous and carefree. Anyway, we hide behind the crowd, masquerading as normal people with outfits that Stan had somehow gotten his hands on.
