Thankfully, the pain from Rumble's kick had subsided substantially after we returned to the Shack. I was situated next to Dipper in the kitchen when he took a half-eaten taco out of the fridge and placed it on the floor for Rumble McSkirmish.

Predictably, Rumble crouches down, consumes it from a distance, making the taco vanish and successfully restoring his health points. "Now I must defeat the world's greatest fight-fighters. Take me to the Soviet Union!"

"Soyuz nerushimy respublik svobodnykh," I hum a bit of the Soviet Union anthem, gaining myself a weird stare from Dipper.

"What? I love the Soviet Union anthem," I shrug.

He puts his hands up in surrender, chuckling lightly. "Alright, I won't judge."  Dipper then turns to Rumble, discoursing with him. "Anyway, Rumble, that's gonna be tough... for a number of reasons. But I do know a fighter here in Gravity Falls."

"Maximum Power?" Rumble McSkirmish questions.

Dipper gives him a firm shake head of the head, telling him about his arch-nemesis instead and handing Rumble Robbie's flyer. "His name is Robbie V. and he's kinda like my arch enemy."

Rumble stares at the flyer, inspecting the facial features of the youth. "Did he kill your father?"

"Well he's dating the girl I like and he posts a really annoying amount of status updates," Dipper explains, circumventing the question Rumble posed.

Rumble crumples the poster in his hand. "And then he killed your father!"

"Uh, sure," Dipper shrugs, not knowing how else to delineate the situation.  "Anyway, I was hoping you could, y'know, scare him off for me so I don't have to fight the guy."

I quickly pull Dipper aside, calling out to Rumble from afar. "Sorry Rumble, I need to talk to brother for a second."

Once I was certain we were out of earshot, I release my grip on his arm, puffing out my cheeks. Naturally, Dipper looks annoyed with me and questions my actions. "Why'd you do that?"

I cross my eyes, glowering at him. "Dipper, why did you lie to him? Robbie didn't kill your sorry, our father. Dipper, I draw a line at joking about the deaths of family members, especially my parents or you and Mabel!" 'Oh my goodness, almost messed up again. And the fact that I have to call Dipper's father my father now is just so weird on so many different levels.'

"So what? It doesn't really matter if I told him our father was killed or not, the point is, dad's still alive. Now if you excuse me, I need to talk to Rumble." He waved my worries away and walked back to Rumble, leaving me behind. I spectate them from a distance, looking over at Rumble. He seemed to be riled up by Dipper's answer to his previous question and now, he had his mind firmly set on locking horns with Robbie and murdering him. I don't know why but at that juncture, I felt incensed at Dipper for not listening to me and choosing to prioritise some stupid video game character over me.

"So you'll protect me from Robbie?" I overhear Dipper asking Rumble.

"Challenge accepted! Press start!" Rumble answered,  spawning a start button that appears right beside Dipper. Dipper presses it without hesitation, making the button disappear.

I sigh in exasperation, retreating upstairs to our shared bedroom, wanting to social distance from Dipper for the time being. I open the door to our shared bedroom, finding Mabel pacing around the room.

"How am I gonna get Grunkle Stan over his fear of heights?" she mumbles, speaking to herself, coming to a halt after her eyes settle on me. "Oh, hi Magnus! I was just thinking of how I could make Grunkle Stan overcome his fear of heights."
