Time Skip

The gravelly road festooned with buildings eventually parts way, superseded by the sandy lane arrayed with trees as we drew closer to the bus stop. We eventually arrive, the silence that had dominated the proceedings in the car interrupted by the announcement of the lone bus that had parked there.  "Bus 52, departing Gravity Falls, all aboard." The doors of the bus open to let us in. Us triplets stood in front of the doors, suitcase in hand and all looking equally despondent. We enter the bus in tandem, pausing only to look for seats and when we did, we plunked ourselves down on them, retaining the same arrangement as last time with one minor difference, I was sitting behind the twins alone.

"Sorry kids, it's for the best," Grunkle Stan concedes lugubriously from outside the bus, his gaze shifting to the ground beneath his feet. All of us look out the window to see Wendy, Candy and Grenda standing outside of the bus, all sharing the same upset look and waving at us as we departed Gravity Falls.

Dipper still struggles to come to terms with what was happening. "Can't believe this is happening."

"Hey, Dipper, wanna play bus seat treasure hunt?" Mabel questions, the Gravity Falls water tower vanishing from our sight.

Dipper turns down her offer and resting his head on his hand, he looks out the window ruminatively. "I'm not in the mood."

Since she did not have any luck with Dipper, Mabel finds me, trying her luck with me instead. "Magnus, do you want to play bus seat treasure hunt?"

I let her down gently. "Sorry, Mabel but I also don't feel up to it right now."

"Aw, come on!" Mabel raises a seat beside her and lists the things she finds underneath it. "We got Canadian coins, gum that shaped like Ronald Reagan's head, ooh! Miscellaneous fluid stain?"

"Giant robot!" Dipper abruptly yells. I look outside the window and sure enough, I glimpse the colossal robot pursuing our bus.

"Yeah, a giant robot... Wait, what?" Mabel exclaims, lowering the seat cushion and climbing up the seat to inspect everything for herself.

"Halt! I command you to halt!" The humungous Gideon-Bot bears down on our bus steadily and confidently, moving rather gracefully for a creature of immense size, even though it did snap an electrical cable. The mere presence of the large and terrifying robot was enough to send shivers down my spine even though I have watched this episode countless times before while Dipper and Mabel weren't faring well themselves either, both of them shrieking in terror.

A flurry and rush in our footsteps in a few seconds' time would ensure that we were standing in front of the enclosure that housed the bus driver, his head facing the road.

"Mr Bus Driver! There is a giant Gideon-Bot coming towards us!" Mabel exclaims, waving and pointing her finger to the back of the bus frantically.

"Oh hey, dudes!" Soos whirls around, greeting us.

"Soos!" All of us shout simultaneously, a wave of relief deluging my senses. 'Welp, at least Soos still remained as the bus driver. If it had been someone different, I don't know if things would turn out as they are.'

"Don't worry guys. I've been a part-time bus driver for at least 40 minutes. One of these is probably a clutch..." Soos experiments with a few of the levers that were in front of him until he finally manages to find the one he desires, holding it in his arms. "Hang on, dudes!" Soos gives us the heads-up beforehand and jerks it forward, the bus obeying its command and jolting forward and into action. The ginormous Gideon-Bot then attempts to block the bus by using its gargantuan hand.

"Soos, look out!" Mabel warns. Soos notices the hand and swerves sharply to the right, managing to evade it though he, unfortunately, crashes through a 'Road Closed' sign in the process, engendering shrieks of fear from all of us.
