I wake up, my body feeling sore, some parts of my body still aching due to my fistfight with Gideon yesterday. I brush my teeth, putting on yet another new graphic t-shirt and a new pair of shorts. I headed downstairs to the kitchen to have some light breakfast in the form of bread and peanut butter before moseying over to the gift shop to see what the twins were up to.
As I walk into the gift shop, I see Mabel sitting on a spinning globe on the counter while Wendy was standing at the side of the counter, reading a magazine. My nerdy brother, on the other hand, was sitting behind the counter, reading our journal studiously.
"Mabel, do you believe in ghosts?" Dipper asked, chewing on a pencil in his mouth, his gaze still fixated on his journal.
"I believe you're a big dork! Ha ha ha!" Mabel poked fun, laughing uproariously at her own joke.
I snort, causing Dipper to look up from his journal and glower at me.
I immediately look off to the side innocently, pretending to whistle away and look at the T-shirts that were on display, the panther and the puma ones admittedly catching my eye.
While I was doing all that, Dipper nonchalantly puts his pencil on the globe, consequently causing Mabel to fall off the globe after it stopped revolving.
Mabel glares at Dipper for a second from the floor before she picks herself up, brushing off the dust that had gotten on her sweater.
Stan then opens the door to his gift shop, peeking in and calling for two of his employees. "Soos! Wendy!"
Soos ran up to Stan and panted heavily, as eager as always to gain Stan's favour. "What's up, Mr Pines!"
"I'm headin' out. You two are gonna wash the bathrooms, right?"
"Yes sir!" Soos raised his arm to salute Stan.
"Absolutely not!" Wendy places her magazine down and mimicks Soos' salute.
"Ha ha!" Stan laughs at Wendy's reaction and turning his attention to us, he becomes serious and shoots the three of us a withering glare. "You three stay out of trouble!"
With that, Stan closes the door behind him and took his leave.
Waiting until Stan was out of sight and earshot, Wendy walks over to a curtain. "Hey guys! What's this?" She withdraws the curtains, revealing a secret ladder. "A secret ladder to the roof?"
"Uh, I don't think Mr Pines would like that," Soos pointed out. After a good few seconds had elapsed just by Soos and Wendy making sounds that were incomprehensible, their focus shifted back to us triplets after Dipper chimes in, asking a question he had yearned to ask her just now. "Can we actually go up there?"
"Sure we can! Roof time! Roof time!" Wendy chants, taking the lead and climbing up the ladder.
"Roof time! Roof time!" We triplets echo, climbing up the now not-so-secret ladder one by one.
We let Wendy lead us to her usual spot on the roof.
"Alright, check it out!" Wendy extends her hands, pointing and showing us the spectacular view ahead, where there seemed to be an inexhaustible army of pine trees ahead that dominated the forest and the mountains that lay behind it in the distance, towering imperiously above everything except, of course, the Sun, which was floating above the fastigium of the mountain and casting its ray of light onto every single creature that lived under the Earth. 'I should have brought my phone up here so I could have taken a picture of this. I know I've seen it in the show before but wow, the view here and now is way more beautiful compared to what was shown in the show.'
