I take in generous gulps of air, letting my eyes take in the sight of the room and the machine. After I had sufficiently recovered and began releasing the energy I had drawn earlier, I walked over to Dipper and sit beside him, staring at the gigantic screen that resided before him.
"A little boring, don't you think?" I ask, Dipper's eyes widening a little in shock and terror.
"So, uh, what did you find in my mind? Must've been boring reading my mind," he laughed nervously, squeezing his eyes shut and hoping that I didn't read anything bad.
"Oh, nothing much. Your thoughts were mostly about Wendy and I especially liked one specific thought where you said that no one would notice if you crossed your legs." I glance at him knowingly and raised my eyebrows.
He buried his face in his hands, his face as red as a tomato. "U-uh, it's not what you think!"
"Yeah, I'm sure it isn't. Maybe Mabel was right about your creepy internet history, I guess I should start giving her the benefit of the doubt when she says something."
"Shut up!" Dipper shoves me over playfully, inducing laughter from me even though I was down on the floor now.
"But jokes aside, I guess I should tell you the truth. I heard and read what you were thinking of me, Casey and Ford."
Dipper's embarrassed expression changed into one of fear and panic. "I-I can explain. It's just that-"
I raised my hand silently, stopping him mid-sentence. "I understand your concerns, you don't need to lie to me. Honestly, if I were you, I'd share the same concerns as you. A triplet who comes from another universe who knows what will happen but doesn't want to share that information, you are right in having your doubts. If you didn't have any suspicions about me, I'd think that you're either weird or just plain stupid. But I just want you to know and even though you probably wouldn't believe me, that you can trust me. I love both you and Mabel very much, I love you guys more than anything in this universe put together, maybe on par with Casey or slightly more than her but yeah, I'd do anything for you guys and I don't want to see any of you suffer because when you do, it hurts me too."
"You love Casey as much as you love us? Are you sure she can be trusted? What was her role in the show?" Dipper hissed.
I looked down. "She actually wasn't in the show."
"See? How do you even know she can be trusted? You just bump into her randomly and you fall in love with her like that and you don't even question her. Something's very wrong, I can almost feel it."
"Dipper, don't talk about her that way!" I growled. "She's my girlfriend and she can be trusted, she even prevented Stan from knowing about my secret that day we were playing Dungeons, Dungeons and More Dungeons when Mabel almost gave it away. If she can keep my secrets, she can be trusted."
"Have you even enquired about her background?"
"Yes, I did, she did tell me about it but she told me she would like to keep it a secret so it will remain that way, I'm not telling anyone about her background."
"Fine, then know this, you won't have my trust until you come to your senses and tell me everything you're hiding."
I sigh. "I guess I don't need your trust, I just need you to listen to me and do as I say in vital moments. But I do need to know something, do you still look at me as your triplet? Or do you just see me as some random stranger?"
"Magnus, I'll always see you as my triplet, even though I admittedly, don't really trust you enough, you'll forever remain my triplet and I love you. I really do, it's just that sometimes you betray my trust and you're not willing to reveal anything during times which you should."
