Part 31: Saved by the Blood

I stared them without any emotions in my eyes. I stand tall and started to walk to meet them.

The first one who attacked me open her stagnant mouth and lunge on me but I twist my body on my left and when I'm finally on her back, I put my right hand around her neck and touch her head then pulled her hair upwards to prevent her from biting my arms that encircled around her.

While wrenching her neck, I front kick the second infected who rushed towards me. It crash backwards to its other undead creatures so I quickly tossed the infected women beside me and thrown her to the crowded zombies.

Para silang mga domino na sabay-sabay na natumba. Habol-habol ko ang hininga ko nang lingunin ko ang pinto na pumapagitna sa amin ng mga kasama ko. Hindi pa rin ito bumubukas kaya tuluyan na akong nagtaka, kanina naman ay parang pinapaburan ako nito dahil sa agad nitong pagbukas ng pinto para papasukin ako.

But what's the problem now? Why's not opening and not letting me in?

Napabalik ang tingin ko sa papasugod ulit sa 'kin. Hindi pa man nakakalapit ang naunang gustong umatake sa 'kin ay mabilis akong yumukod at agad na inikot ang paa ko sa mga paa niyang papalapit sa 'kin. Rinig ko ang malakas na pagbagsak niya sa sahig.

I didn't let him stand again since I step in on his abdomen and attack the zombies in front me. I jump off and meet the attackers by a hard punch on his crummy face. It step back because of the force I give him, but they continued to attack me again.

I gritted my teeth and started to move backwards but I stumbled and crash on the floor when I forgot the one I just knocked down awhile ago.
I hissed when I find myself in a tight situation.

"Sh*t!"

My jaw dropped then my hands started to shake as I quickly shrinks back when they slashed over me with their ravenous semblance. I've no escape now, I know this will be my end.

I clenched my fist and bit lips when my family flashed on my mind. I wanted to apologize to them, mukhang ito na ang magiging katapusan ko.

I closed my eyes and tilt my head sideward.

I waited them to asssault me. But instead, I heard a click behind me and feel a warm touch on my both arms.

"Ipasok mo na siya roon, bilis!" Confusions strike me when I heard a baritone voice rushing for something.

Tuluyan ko nang binuksan ang mga mata ko nang hatakin ako ng kung sino patayo sa kinauupuan ko. I exchanged my glance between Ali whose beside me and Hugo whose giving punches on zombies.

Ali let go me and gently push on Hugos side, "I'll handle them. You go with her," he commanded using his serious voice. Napatitig ako sa kanya at napakunot ang noo, he changed his persona again in just split of a seconds.

Kagaya ko ay napatitig lang si Hugo sa katabi ko habang nanliliit ang mga mata. Pero hindi na siya nakapagsalita pa dahil tinalikuran na kami ng lalaki at mabilis na binigyan nang malakas na sipa ang nasa harap niya.

"Lumayo kayo sa 'kin!" Natauhan kami ng katabi ko nang marinig namin ang hindi pamilyar na sigaw ng boses babae mula sa pinanggalingan nila. Who's that?
