When your baby laughs for the first time

~ Zarkon ~

While you were busy drying your hair after taking a bath/shower Zarkon was taking care of Gatrea in his and your bedroom. He wanted to make her laugh, so he remembered something Alfor told him about playing with toys such as a rattle. So, that's exactly what he was doing. Gatrea was smiling and cooing as Zarkon shook the rattle.

"Come on Gatrea, give papa a laugh~" Zarkon said, letting out a playful sound.

Gatrea reached up to touch the rattle, but she grabbed her father by the nose instead. Zarkon was shocked when she grabbed his nose and gave it a good squeeze. When he made a muffled sound in disapproval, Gatrea let out a short giggle, thinking that her father was funny.

"What's going on in here?" You asked when you opened the bathroom door, popping your head out.

"She's got my nose. She laughed, though." Zarkon said as he glanced at you, his voice sounding a little stuffy.

"I can see why." You said, trying not to laugh at your husband's distress.

Gatrea giggled as she squeezed Zarkon’s nose again. You went back into the bathroom to finish drying your hair, laughing a little once the door was closed. Zarkon eventually got Gatrea to let go of his nose so that he could breathe. Gatrea kept gigging as she reached up to her father, wanting him to sound funny again.

~ Alfor ~

Alfor really wanted to get Lotarius to laugh, but he wasn't sure if he was able to laugh yet. So, while he was in the nursery with his adorable son he sat down and started making funny faces. Lotarius was a little scared at first, but when Alfor made a particularly funny face, he laughed.

"Bleh-" Alfor said humorously as he stuck his tongue out and crossed his eyes.

Lotarius laughed at the face and sound his father made as though it was the funniest thing in the world. While you were passing by the nursery you heard a baby giggling, so you decided to see what was going on. Alfor didn't notice you until you said something.

"Did you get him to laugh?" You asked as you walked over to where Alfor was sitting, getting his attention.

"Oh, hello princess. I did." Alfor said proudly, smiling as he looked at you, putting his tongue back into his mouth.

You walked closer to where your husband was sitting and stood next to him, making a funny face. Lotarius giggled as he looked at the face you were making. You and Alfor couldn't help but laugh along with him, laughter echoing off the walls.

~ Blaytz ~

When Iris started smiling more you knew that it was only a matter of time before she started laughing. You were sitting in the private lounge on one of the couches with Iris, holding her in your arms. Every time she made a sound, you baby-talked to her, excitement in your voice as you 'talked' to her. Iris liked it when you spoke and she started laughing. You smiled widely, her cute little laugh being one of the cutest things ever.

"I hear laughing. What's going on?" Blaytz asked as he walked into the lounge, sitting on the couch next to you.

"I finally got Iris to laugh." You said, smiling as you looked at your husband who was grinning.

"Did mommy make you laugh?" Blaytz asked Iris, baby-talking as he smiled at her.

Iris laughed as Blaytz spoke to her, loving the attention. You and Blaytz kept making her laugh, having fun with your daughter. You both couldn't help but laugh along with Iris, her laughter becoming contagious.

~ Gyrgan ~

"Peek-a-boo! Peek-a-boo!" Gyrgan said with excitement as he played peek-a-boo with Adu.

Adu smiled up at his father, the two of them in the private lounge. Gyrgan was determined to make Adu laugh, and what better way to achieve that goal than playing peek-a-boo? While you were passing by the private lounge you heard Gyrgan saying something with excitement and then a giggle.

"Hey, did I just hear what I think I heard?" You asked hopefully as you walked in and over to the couch your husband was sitting on with your son, sitting down.

"You did, Adu laughed for the first time!" Gyrgan said with happiness, his ears twitching happily.

"He did?" You asked with excitement, smiling at Adu.

"Yes. Peek-a-boo!" Gyrgan said as he turned his attention back to Adu, covering his face with one hand before moving it out of the way.

Adu laughed as Gyrgan played peek-a-boo again. You and Gyrgan smiled, happy that Adu was finally laughing. And his laugh was just so cute. You played a round peek-a-boo, making Adu laugh more.

~ Trigel ~

While you and Trigel were spending some time with Astrid, Trigel was reading a pop-up book while you made the animal sound effects. Astrid was smiling her usual toothless smile, but when you quacked like a duck Astrid started laughing.

"Awww!" You said with excitement, smiling down at your adorable daughter.

"Good job, Astrid." Trigel said, extremely happy that Astrid learned how to laugh.

"She's so smart." You said, thinking out loud.

"She is; she'll be a bright young lady when she's older." Trigel said softly, placing one of her hands on one of yours.

Astrid looked up at you and Trigel curiously, sucking on her right hand. Trigel started reading where she left off and turned the next page. You made a 'meow' at one point, causing Astrid to laugh again. Each time you made an animal sound she laughed in pure enjoyment.
