"Okay, okay hold up! don't shut the door on me! for real, show me what you got going on in there," he said as he stopped the door. Being annoyed at doesn't last long, he's very lucky I love him very much.

I didn't want to make Alphonse wait any longer, so I invited him inside and he was immediately greeted by Igloo. And from the looks of it, he didn't know what he should do since he didn't have a lot of interaction with a dog. Once Robin saw this, she walk over and reassured him.

"It's safe to pet her, Iggy is a sweet girl."

At first, Al was nervous to do anything but when he started petting Igloo he instantly warmed up to her, he even started smiling, I think Al just found his first furry friend. While I wish I could watch this scene but I have some business to attend to; I made my way out of the main shop and into the kitchen with counters occupied by ingredients, baking tools and recipes. And of course, Bodega who was trying to get at the stuff that was out but I always catch him and give him into trouble, but aside from that; there's a bun that needs to be pulled out.

"Hey, you never mentioned that you like to bake!"

Out of nowhere the voice of Alphonse took me by surprise as I turned my attention to him while putting down the freshly baked good. I guess he noticed that I left or maybe he saw Bodega leave.

"Trying something out for the new year? Your kitchen is like decked out!" he said as he walks into the kitchen and was shocked to see the amount of stuff that's out. I may as well come clean with him now.

"Oh no, baking has been a part of my family for as long as I could remember. This very store once belonged to granny Grace, now me and Robin are running it. Right now we're trying to find something new that can be added to the buns, with the help of Grace's book for a bit of research and reference. Is this really that much of a shock?"

"I thought you were like making some cinnamon rolls from a can or something, but this is like, this is a lot of stuff! It all smells really good."

Hearing him saying that just made me all warm and fuzzy. There's just something about your lover, completing your baking is just the best thing for me.

"Is this why you never invited me over? You didn't want me to know you two was some kind of baking wizard?"

"Well, you did say that it would be a bad idea to come to the shop at the time. Plus, it would become awkward very quickly since I live here too," said Robin as she stood by the kitchen entrance. And Al couldn't disagree with them on that since he did said that.

"Well, ok, maybe I did say it was better if people didn't see me coming over to your place; but that was back when my reputation was in the dumpster, now I'm like some kind of upstanding citizen and shit. Wow, look at all this baking stuff, is like real serious huh? You wouldn't have a kitchen like this, an oven like that if you weren't about that life."

Me and Robin couldn't help but giggle slightly. Seeing Alphonse being this shocked is on some level, amusing to us, keeping this whole thing as a secret from him is definitely worth it. Then we immediately stopped as he turned his attention to me while the expression on his face turned serious.

"Hold up, you mean to tell me, you know how I feel about sweets and didn't tell me about all this?! You haven't made me any cookies or macaroons or like any of that stuff! You do make that stuff right?"

"Wait, are you upset because Ava didn't give you the famous baked goods yet." We both started to laugh again. At first, I was worried because I thought Alphonse was mad at me, but it's the very opposite of that. I guess in a way he is in title to get something for free since he always gave us free candy now and then.

"You keep laughing at me I'm going to have to get hostile! Oh yeah, I'll fling this, what is this?"

He asked us as he grabbed a handful of one of the ingredients. And honestly, we both couldn't help but look at him in shock because of it. I'm definitely not gonna say anything, but Robin sure is going to bring him down hard.

"That's sugar, Alphonse."

"Sugar? Ha, I will powder you with this sugar."

I'll give him some credit for trying but, wow. It's a good thing that I have some self-control but Robin just couldn't help but started to wheeze and begin to tremble. They are trying not to burst out but it still didn't make Al any better.

"I can read okay!"

The moment he said that he just toss the sugar back down on the central counter. And of course, with me coming from a professional baker I didn't take that action lightly.

TO BE CONTINUED

(I feel like that there might be some people who also might find this whole cutting/chopping parts slightly annoying, but I just find it a bit more neater in some way. I just think it's better than trying to fit the whole scene into the one page😅)
