Part three: A bun in the oven

The moment he said that he just toss the sugar back down on the central counter. And of course, with me coming from a professional baker I didn't take that action lightly.

"Hey don't just be tossing the sugar about! There's only so much for the buns!"

I said to Alphonse as I raised my voice. At first, he was surprised by my sudden action but that shock slowly turned into a cheeky grin, he's up to something and I don't think I'll like it.

"Oh, you get real defensive about the ingredients, now I know your weakness. Hold up, hold up! I was kidding!"

Yeah, I bet he wishes that he hadn't said that now. Without showing any hesitation, I grabbed a handful of fresh raw dough and throw it at him in retaliation. Though I'm starting to think that was a bit much since he is now looking at the mess I just made on his sweater.

"What is this?"

"First the sugar and now this? It's dough my man," said Robin as they looked at him in disbelief.

"Dough? You threw dough, on my favourite sweater," he said to me with a hardened expression. I already regretted doing it.

"Yea, I know. That was a below the belt move, I'm sorry Al."

"Oh no, no you can't take it back now, there's no sense in apologising. I'm gonna have to punish you; by making you wash it."

The moment he said that I was actually surprised, and a bit disappointed. I guess I was expecting something more than washing his sweater, but I guess I can't expect Al to say something very forward, especially when Robin is here with us.

"What? Why you got that disappointed look on your face," he asked me, which actually startled me. I must have had a frown on my face without me knowing.

"Oh! It's nothing Alphonse," I said to him as I felt my cheeks getting warm. Though he clearly wasn't buying it.

"What exactly did you think I was going to do to punish you?"

"I think I could have a guess," Robin said as she walked in and slung an arm around my shoulders. I turned my attention to them, only to see them wiggling their eyebrows with a sultry expression.

"Robin!"

They instantly started to laugh while running back into the main part of the store. I can't believe that they would do something that boldly, and with Alphonse here!

"I swear it's nothing like that," I said to him.

"Uh-huh, yeah perv," Al respond back.

I didn't say anything, since I still trying to get over my embracement. But then out of nowhere, Alphonse started to take off his sweater.

"W-What are you doing?"

"What do you mean what am I doing? I'm taking my shirt off so you can wash it, did you get some of that dough in your ears or something? Damn troublemaker," he said to me as he holds his sweater to me but I didn't notice it since I was too busy checking him out. I wasn't even trying to hide any blushing at this point, that was till Alphonse brought me back to reality.

"You gonna take the sweater from me or you gonna keep staring?"

"Sorry! This is, it's just a surprise really. If that even makes sense."

And that wasn't a lie or me just exaggerating; it is a surprise. I mean I've seen him naked before, but that was all in a slightly dim room, this one is completely different from what I'm used to so far.

"Well I guess maybe you haven't really seen me topless, not in broad daylight. Maybe there was that one time you were peeping, but I don't know, it's hard to see much through a cracked door I guess."

"What?!"

"Oh, you thought I didn't know? I knew."

Lord nothing seems to get past him, it could be anything and he would still notice something. And just the fact that he knows that I was peeping doesn't make me feel any better, but it was still worth it. Though I must admit, seeing him topless in daylight, I just couldn't help but to study Al's exposed back as he looked over the kitchen and even took the opportunity to have a sneak peek at granny Grace's opened book. I can already tell that he's eyeing the candy page.
