Robin's pov

I don't think words could describe how weird everything has been since I got sick. I mean, I was sick before but back then I never had anyone to fuss over me before. And to be honest, I don't hate it. So here I am; resting in my bed and giving Barkley some head pats. But now I wonder how Ava is doing right now, I know that they are okay since they're hanging out with Alphonse today but I still couldn't help but worry.

"I'm stressing too much over Ava. She is a grown person now and trying to run a business at the same time." I said to myself as I stare up towards the ceiling. Barkley seems to notice my mood and he licked my hand in hopes of making me feel a bit better, I honestly couldn't help but smile at his actions.

"Hey boys, I think I should get some rest now. Why don't you go downstairs and help Stilton with guarding the shop," I said to him. And he completely understands me as he offered his signature bark as a response and walked out of the room.

I wasn't so sure why but ever since Avery got the dogs I felt very connected with Barkley. Maybe it's because he reminds me of myself? He does have a powerful bark and strong bite, it's obvious that he is the last dog for anyone to get into a fight. Honestly, I don't think I could ever imagine how life would be like if Ava never got them. As I thought about the possibility of life and where it could take you, I slowly started to feel drowsy and then before I knew it I went to sleep.

I have no idea what time it is, but I don't care. I'm far too comfortable and cosy to even leave the bed. But I have to now since going back to sleep would be a challenge, plus I need a drink. I slowly got out of bed and made my way downstairs and by the time I got there, the dogs were eating away their food and Ava was already there; sitting by one of the tables and with a cup of tea out and ready for me but is also in deep thought about something.

"Hey Ava," I said to them as I sat down in front of them and bring them back to reality.

"Oh hey, Robin. Did I wake you?" They said to me.

"No, you didn't. I've been awakened for a bit, plus I needed a drink anyway," I reassured them with a smile.

"That's good. I'm glad that you are up, there's something I want to talk to you about."

"What it is?" I asked them as I drank some of the tea. Ever since Ava found out I was sick she has been giving me the best bland of teas within their granny's book; the ingredients are a mixture of herbs, spices and dried flowers. While I am more of a coffee person, but I can make an expansion when it comes to Grace's tea.

"I think that me and Alphonse are a thing now."

I was not expecting that whatsoever! The minute they said that I struggled to even swallow the tea. Am I missing something that happened? I put down my cup of tea and stared that Avery with a surprised expression.

"When you say a thing, do you mean it as a couples kind of thing?"

"I guess. I mean we haven't talked about it throughout the day, but we have been sharing kisses from a Pocky, start to finish," they said as their cheeks turned red.

I'm slightly finding this a bit hard to believe. Ava has had some relationships before coming here, and they didn't turn out so well in the end. It's not like I don't trust her with their love choices, I just don't them to get hurt again but I've met Alphonse and I know that I can trust him, and even I know that I can't always be there for Ava.

"What should I do Robin," she asked me. I honestly don't know what to think of this but as a friend, I have to be supportive for Ava.

"This isn't something that I can just tell you Ava, but if you feel like you are in a relationship now just be yourself. And if you are unsure about it then you can phone him up and see for yourself. Just remember that you can't be quick or jump into everything." I said to them with a smile, there's nothing that I want is for them to be happy.

"You're right. Thanks, Robin," she said with a smile as their eyes started to cry slightly. Then they got up from their seat and walked upstairs, probably to get some sleep.

Within the second of them being gone, I couldn't help but smile slightly down at my teacup. I know that it won't be an easy thing, to trust someone with Avery if anything happens to me. But who knows these things, all I know is that maybe this move wouldn't be so bad.

"This move just might be an amazing choice ever," I said to myself with a smile. I can only hope that nothing bad will happen that could shake my confidence.
