Part two: The peace that was supposed to be

"I trust you with me, with my heart and I trust that whatever comes bubbling up out of my heart, will be met with understanding and care. I'm just...I'm so thankful for that. So thankful for you. You've helped me heal and grow so much, you're wonderful and I love you. I love you so much. There are no words for how much I adore you, I just hope...I hope that in time I'll be able to be there for you as you've been here for me."

From the moment he said that I honestly began to feel very emotional. I know that Al loves me, but to hear him say it like this, it just makes me want to cry slightly but rather than doing that, I got up and hugged him instead. Which he also gladly returns.

"I mean, don’t get me wrong, I hope I never have to meet your shity potentially dangerous ex."

"Just as well. Cause I certainly don't you get hurt by them, they are a nasty piece of work," I said to him and it wasn't a lie. I have had some dangerous lovers but some of them aren't that dangerous, but I just thought it would be fun to tease him. And I can easily tell it worked as he grabs my arms and looks at me with a slightly panicked expression.

"What? No no no no, you’re kidding right?!"

"Relax sweet cheeks. None of my ex-lovers will suddenly show up to get me, your safe," I said honestly while Robin laughs behind us.

"Oh okay, oh thank god. You play too much; I’ve had enough with that kind of drama but if I had to slice somebody up for you I would. Don't get it twisted but I’m okay with sticking to cutting up those thick ass cinnamon rolls of yours though. I thought Seth was going to choke; he wouldn’t say it but he definitely isn’t a cinnamon guy. One time I snuck him a shot of fireball and he almost passed out, he likes bitter stuff."

"Really? I never thought that, then again he did ask for black coffee. I guess it didn't strike me that he would be into the bitterness of food and drink," said Robin as she poured out a glass of water.

"Yeah, unless we're talking about his taste in people."

"You mean in terms of you?"

"I ain’t just talking about me, he was checking you out," he said while stating out the fact that Seth was checking out Robin. I honestly thought that it was just me who noticed it. And let me tell you, it certainly caught Robin by surprise, so much that she actually began to blush.

"What?! No he wasn't!"

"I’m serious! I mean after the whole thing, he looked at you a bit warmer. Trust me, he don't give that look to just anybody."

"It's true Robin. I saw it too," I said to her with a smile.

"Okay, let's say that did happen; what exactly does that mean?"

"Wow, and I thought I was the oblivious one when it comes to this kind of thing."

"I think you were the first person to cook for him since he got out. I mean, shit if I was in his shoes, I’d howl at you too. And not to brag but obviously he has pretty good taste if he's attracted to both of us right?"

Just as well he wasn't in Seth's shoes cause one I could never imagine that happening. Secondly, if he was then the both of them wouldn't make it through one day with possibly killing each other. Clearly not a pair that's meant to be. On the other hand; Robin and Seth would be that kind of couple who were to have some bad moments in a relationship but the problem would be solved and will still love each other at the end of the day.

"Okay, this is getting embarrassing," said Robin as she was starting to get a bit more flustered. It's actually kind of cute to see her like this.

"No no, go on, it’s ok. You can smile about it, I get it."

"But-"

"No no no you don’t have to explain anything, you know Seth is a cute guy you can be flattered," Al said with a sly smile. Normally he wouldn't tease Robin like this but now he has a reason to do so.

"Oh, you are fun to pick on. Seth must have been having fun too, you know since you’re best friends and stuff."

"Yeah, it actually was kind of fun. Did you have fun Al," I asked him.

"Oh me? Oh I had a great time, yeah I love reliving my most traumatic experiences it’s great, it’s a real thrill," he said sarcastically, but I can he enjoyed it.

"That's good to hear, but to be honest, I can not deny that you were kind of cute during the whole start of the situation," I said while a blush was starting to show on my cheeks. At first, he didn't seem to understand what I was getting at but then he slowly began to smile.
