At the same moment Aleks had uttered these words, Cone made a jump forward. He hit Aleks in the chest with full force, so that he was thrown backward and forced to lie down. Coughing, he got back up.

Shit, I wasn't done yet, asshole! The blow had bruised at least one rib, if not broken it. Aleks wiped the blood from his mouth. His eyes took on a serious expression. Well, let's get started.

Aleks struck both hands together and activated his ability. Lines of light ran over his forearms. Juri had to hold Nero back. He also disagreed with Cone's behavior, but interfering would undermine Aleks' authority. The remaining warriors had joined them. So they watched in silence.

Cone seemed unimpressed by Aleks' luminous hands. He waved at him and told him to attack him.

Aleks accepted the challenge. He ran swiftly towards Cone and beat him. Cone drew aside and followed up with a punch on Aleks' face. However, Belial's mate was able to dodge and aimed at Cone's stomach. He swerved to the side and Aleks' fist hit the ground. At that moment, an impulse shook the ground and it broke open.

In disbelief, the four warriors looked at the hole in the ground, which was about one yard in diameter. But while Cone and the others were distracted, Aleks continued. Cone narrowly dodged a blow that would have hit him on the shoulder and backed away.

Aleks' fingers glowed, then cut the air several times. Small sickles of light flew towards Cone, while Aleks slid across the ground and attacked the demon's feet. He dodged the sickles and jumped to the side. A small trail of blood ran along his upper arm. Juri whistled impressed.

You may be strong, but if I don't let you attack, those skills won't do you any good. And he did. He attacked Aleks mercilessly so that he could only fend off his attacks. With hard blows, he hit Belial's mate in the abdomen, shoulder and thighs. Then he swept his legs away with a kick and proceeded to step on Aleks.

Aleks rolled away and tried to gain distance. His heart beat wildly. He had to take a lot and had slowed down, he knew that.

Then a fist hit him on his cheek. The force pushed him backwards and he landed on the ground, he remained there lying face down. Shit, I'm finished. He felt a foot stepping on his back, right where his wings were hidden.

"Go down, don't touch me," he shouted in panic.

"What do you want to do?" a cold voice and pressed firmer replied.

Aleks screamed and without warning his wings broke out his back. Cone backed away. As if hypnotized, he looked at the white wings and the torn top. What the hell? Cone seemed shocked, of course, he was the only one who didn't know that Aleks was an angel.

Aleks got up and threw away the top. From the hypnotic angel wings, Cone's gaze wandered to his bond mark, then to his eyes. These had changed their eye color, they were lighter. No, Aleks' entire face and posture had changed. They were cold, deadly. Slowly he tilted his head and raised his hand. This one started to glow, but it was different. It shivered down Cone's spine.

Without warning, his leader landed between them. He struck Aleks' hand to the side and the energy discharged in an explosion to the side.

Belial grabbed his mate's arm and said, "Stop, Aleksander."

Aleks winced and looked at Belial in surprise. He seemed to be slowly realizing what had happened. What had just happened here? Cone thought.

"It's enough to seek out a healer, Tsuka."

Aleks said nothing, just nodded. He pressed a hand on his side and limped towards the house. Dark bruises adorned his upper body and face, but he made no sound. When he disappeared from the point of view of the others, he collapsed. Foreign arms caught him, but he couldn't say who, as quickly as he lost consciousness.

Alas caught Aleks when he collapsed. Heaven, Cone has badly beaten up that boy. He admired Aleks for the way he had faced him, but he wouldn't be able to leave the bed for at least two days. He threw Aleks over his shoulder and carried him to the infirmary wing, where the healers took care of him. They seemed shocked by his condition but said nothing.

"What did you want to prove, Cone?" Belial asked him in an angry voice and grabbed the warrior by the collar. He should have intervened much earlier. Every blow his angel had to take had been a stab in his heart. Aleks had done better than expected. But Cone had been unnecessarily brutal.

"This should have been about testing Aleks' limits, not letting out your displeasure on him."

"He's a weakness, Kuro. One that could be dangerous to you. He needs to know that," he replied.

"Believe me, you made that clear to him. But believe me too, if I hadn't stopped Aleks, you wouldn't be standing here anymore. You would share a seat at Rukia's side," his leader said in a cold voice.

"What do you mean by that, Belial?" Nero asked.

"We're not discussing that here. Follow me."

The warriors followed their leader into the meeting room. Then he began to tell: "We know, Aleks is an angel. His mother sealed his half of the angel shortly after his birth, he grew up as a normal human. A few weeks ago, we loosened his seal. Lyric and I were just training him to control his abilities when we were attacked. Aleks was kidnapped by Rukia the Fire Devil and dragged to hell. When he fled, Rukia found him and..." Belial broke off

"What happened?" Juri asked.

Belial took a vulnerable expression on his face that the warriors had never seen with him before.

"Rukia killed Aleks."

Incredulous silence.

"Belial, what are you talking about? Aleks seems clearly alive," Nero replied.

"Shortly after his death, Aleks' brother broke his seal to the last level of the seal and freed his soul. That was the moment when he took his true form for the first time. It is the only reason why he was able to return to me."

Silence spread in the round.

"And what does that have to do with the end of the fight?" Cone asked.

"There is a reason why we can no longer question Rukia," his leader replied.

"You killed him, but what does that have to do with me?" he interrupted his leader.

"No, I didn't kill Rukia. He died in a heavenly execution by Aleks' hand." The shock conquered every face. Cone backed away as if he had beaten him.

"That can't be. Only angels of the upper warrior classes can execute demons in a heavenly way."

"Thou shalt now receive thy just punishment. Your punishment is death. You are to be reborn as a human being. Free from memories, you should live without the possibility of ever entering the world of demons again. These were his last words to Rukia before Aleks executed him with his angel's sword. If he had lost control, he might have executed you as well."

The warriors didn't know what to say.

"Does Aleks know that he is a high-ranking angel?" Nero asked. Belial shook his head. They hadn't told him yet. They wouldn't do that until he was ready.

"Then Aleks has to learn to get stronger so that he doesn't lose control again," Lao broke the silence. The others agreed. They would make his angel stronger because that was what he had to become if he wanted to survive.
