Alice and Company

Amber's strategy

It had already been 3 weeks since Alice started teleworking, her friend Amber was observing all the movements and orders of the boss as much as possible, but there was nothing new, as if the reasons why Alice was moved to teleworking would have already disappeared.

Now since she was not going to lunch with Alice, she was going with some coworkers to have lunch in another restaurant that was not the one she was going to with Alice and today is Friday.

At lunch they started talking until they got a topic that caught Amber's attention.

- "Oh friend, I'm worried" Mary said sadly

- "Tell me, is something wrong?" Iris answered

- "I just got a message where my cousin Missy has disappeared and they haven't seen her for 2 weeks, they say that the last time they saw her was on a beach north of the city" Mary said worriedly

- "Disappeared? Speaking of that issue, my roommate who worked as a dancer has not returned for almost the same time, I will have to move to another apartment because I cannot pay for it by myself" Sandra commented

The girls continued talking, while Amber paid attention to each word in a sneaky way, because there were two more things that had happened approximately 2 weeks ago, Alice's presentation and her body having increased in size very fast.

Amber had been friends with Alice since high school, at that time Alice was the short girl compared to Amber, that was until Alice turned 18 and things abruptly changed to become the way they are now.

Amber missed Alice because she was her oldest friend and she wanted to see her, so at the end of work she called her on her cell phone.

- "Hello Alice, I'm Amber, I would like us to go out on Saturday to talk, there is a fair on the north beach where we can walk and talk" said Amber with her classic cheerful tone

- "Amber, friend, yes, I know that beach, I have been two weeks ago with my boyfriend, yes of course, he will be busy on Saturday, so we could go, he told me that he would be correcting a program of a college classmate" Alice answered

- "Perfect, then see you there or am I going to your house?" Asked Amber

- "Better see you there, maybe it will take me a bit, I suppose it will be early, right?" Alice asked

- "Yes, it must be early, see you then" Amber replied

Amber went home, but a thought filled her mind, Alice said that she had already gone to the beach where they were going to go and it was the same place that the office colleagues talked about at lunch where they saw Missy for the last time.

"No, it's impossible, she couldn't have done that, her stomach has the capacity, but swallowing a whole person, that's absurd" Amber told herself in her mind.

Already saturday

Amber arrived early and noticed that the fair was organizing a food contest, where she saw that some participants from other cities were participating, they had even invited the national champion, who was a very fat woman, she kept seeing the ad, until someone told her , that these contests move money because there are bets.

- "Really? How much minimum is the bet?" Amber asked excitedly

- "They say that at least 20 dollars, in the corner post is the place of the bets, they are still registering the contestants and then start the bets, you must be patient because they are queuing." The young man commented

- "No problem, thank you very much for the information" replied Amber

Amber is a very smart and intelligent woman, but she has a weakness for gambling, she went to the ATM to withdraw 1000 dollars and then met Alice.
