Alice and Company

Elena's nightmare

Alice had arrived at the office and noticed that Elena was already making progress on the report she had requested.

- "Hello Elena, I didn't think you would arrive so early" Alice commented

- "Hello Alice, is that the report is somewhat complicated and I wanted to have more time to move forward" said Elena

- "Can I take a look at it?" Alice asked

- "Yes, of course" said Elena

Alice reviewed Elena's progress and noticed that she had already made noticeable progress, that surprised her a lot

- "Elena, I'll collect your advances at the end of the day" Alice said smiling

- "Okay, I'm going to try hard" Elena said happily

Already at lunch time, Alice ordered the usual, 5 rounds of everything on the menu of the day and a stuffed turkey

- "Alice, are you really going to eat all of this?" Elena asked concerned

- "It's what she normally eats, isn't it Alice?" Amber said smiling

- "Don't worry, my stomach can take care of this" Alice said very proud of her stomach

When they were eating, Elena started to check her cell phone and saw a news story that they found the skeleton of a mermaid on the beaches of Brisas Azules

- "Girls, do you believe in cryptids?" Elena asked

- "It's just something to generate tourism" commented Amber

- "Well, it depends, why the question Elena?" Alice said

- "I just saw a mermaid skeleton on my cell phone ..." Elena spoke when she was interrupted by a loud but sweet gurgling from Alice's stomach

- "Oh I'm sorry, is that for some reason I get excited when I hear about mermaids" said Alice blushing

- "Come on Alice, I don't believe you and boyfriend have seen a mermaid in Brizas Azules, and you made a simple excuse like missing your boyfriend's camera" Amber said in a sarcastic tone

- "Amber, it's true that my boyfriend and I saw her" Alice claimed

- "Let's see Elena, what does the news say?" asked Amber who no longer wanted to argue with Alice

The news in summary:

"A mermaid skeleton has been found on Brizas Azules beach, also known to some as a mermaid sighting point.

The special thing about this note is that the skeleton was analyzed and studied by zoologists and forensics who commented on some things about the find

The skeleton does not belong to any human being and its skull has deformities on the sides like spines, although it is noted that they have been worn away by certain acid

The supposed mermaid is presumed to have been swallowed alive by a sea beast of unknown origin due to bacteria found in some bones

Everything indicates that the beast, upon feeling the bones of the mermaid scraping its stomach, decided to vomit the skeleton of said mermaid so that it would not bother her, in addition to some seaweed.

- "So did you see a mermaid or the skeleton of a mermaid?" Elena asked

Again Alice's stomach gurgled sweetly.

- "A skeleton of course, how would a real mermaid look?" said Alice blushing
