"Ivy, I would like you to meet the Avengers." My sister Kate said enthusiastically, I took a long sip of my bourbon and then walked into the amazingly large building she had taken me to.

"Oh goodie, more people." I said, rolling my eyes. She ignored me and opened the front entrance, she led me inside and there were about fifteen people standing there, waiting for me.

"Welcome Ivy." I saw a man who I recognized as Tony Stark smiling at me, I didn't return the smile, instead I looked at all of them, recognizing them all at once. Except for the blonde girl.

"What's your name?" I asked her, she smirked.

"Yelena." She said in a thick Russian accent, I smirked back at her and turned back to Tony.

"Well, thank you Kate, for letting me meet your friends." I said plainly, turning around, she grabbed my arm and spun me back around.

"Did you not tell her Kate?" Tony asked, Kate shook her head.

"What, what did you not tell me?" I asked, staring at her intently.

"You're staying here kid, we're recruiting you, along with Kate." Tony said.

"Well you actually can't recruit someone if they don't want to be recruited." I told him. "But you being all smart and all, I figure you already know that." I smirked at him and looked at everyone else who looked frustrated.

"Um, I'm sorry." Kate walked over to Tony. "We lost our dad when we were really young and they were really close and ever since then she's just been, like this." She whispered.

"You know I can hear you, right?" I asked her, she didn't give me an answer, but just stayed beside Tony.

"You should join us, come on, it'll be fun. We get to kill a lot of people." Yelena said in her thick Russian accent. I looked over at her with a stern gaze.

"Fine." I said after a while. "I'll stay."

"Great." Tony nodded and walked away. "I'll show you your room, you're actually going to be bunking with someone because we are out of rooms at the moment." He led me through a long hallway.

"Who?" I asked, hoping it wasn't a guy. I hated guys.

"You will share a room with Yelena." He said, I smirked.

"The Russian girl?" I asked, he nodded and stopped at a black door. Yelena caught up with us a few seconds later.

"Hi roommate." She said.

"Hi." I said, not even turning to look at her.

"Um." Tony said, lost in thought. "I'll let you two bond." He shut the door and left us alone.

"So what are you good at?" She grabbed the glass from my hand and filled it with more alcohol.

"Look sweetheart, you may be nice and all but I don't really feel like talking." I downed my new drink in three gulps.

"Well, we're sharing a room, so we might as well." She pointed out kindly.

"Well that's only temporary." I said while she filled my glass again. "Just like all things in life." I gave her a fake smile and then took another sip of my drink.

"What is your deal?" She asked angrily. "I'm just trying to be nice to you." I smirked. "I've given you some of my precious alcohol and you don't even want to talk to me." I nodded.

"That's right sweetheart." I smiled at her, I saw her faintly blush and her eyes darkened. She put her class down and leaned towards me so our faces were inches apart.

"Don't call me sweetheart. And stop being such a bitch." I raised my eyebrows and leaned back.

"I lost the person I was closest to." I said loudly, standing up. "So I don't let myself care about anyone anymore. Works for me." I downed my drink again and set it down on the nightstand.

"You don't even care about your sister? Or your mom?" She asked, taken aback.

"No, my moms a bitch. But I would do anything for my sister. Just don't tell her that." Yelena nodded slowly. "But after my dad, no one new." I stared out the window and she walked over to stand beside me.

"Well, if you don't care about anyone, what do you do?" She asked me curiously.

"Most of the time I just go to parties, get drunk, hook up with random people and forget about it the next day." I answered honestly.

"Maybe you should have someone you hook up with sober." She said in a low voice, I turned to her, looking into her eyes.

"Are you hinting at something?" I asked her.

"That depends." She smirked, I gulped and broke eye contact, I looked back at her and she looked proud. "What's wrong sweetheart? Did I make you nervous?" She asked, tilting her head. I shook my head.

"No one makes me nervous." I replied, walking to the other side of the room, looking at all the jewelry on her dresser.

"I beg to differ. Your heart races when you lie." She walked over to me and placed her hand on my chest. I grabbed her wrist and threw it off.

"What are you trying to do?" I asked her. She didn't answer my question.

"Look, there's a party tonight, you would like it. It starts in two hours. We can go together." She offered.

"I think I'll go by myself." I inhaled deeply, waiting for her to respond. She just smirked.

"Suit yourself."
