"W-what do you think happens when we die?" I asked Pietro.

"Um. I think we get reincarnated." He said simply. "You know what, I always said I would take you for a run." I turned to him and smirked. "And I think you could use that right now." He walked up to me and we did our secret handshake.

"Where would we go?" I asked him.

"Well, anywhere you want. I can run fast, and far." He pointed out.

"Just run across the entire backyard." I said, getting on his back.

"What the fuck are you two doing?" Yelena walked onto the room, I fell off of Pietro's back, surprised at the sudden voice.

"Ow." I rubbed the back of my head as it hit the ground.

"Oh, I'm sorry sweetheart." Yelena rushed over to me and helped me stand up. "Are you ok?" She asked as I continued to rub my head.

"Yeah. Just caught by surprise by your sudden scream of the word fuck." I turned to her.

"Ha, very funny." She said sarcastically, hopping onto the counter. "But seriously, what are you two doing?" She asked.

"Oh, he was going to take me on a run." I told her.

"No, you're not doing that." She said, giving Pietro a glare.

"What, why not?" I asked.

"Because, what if you fall off?" She asked, I rolled my eyes. "Don't roll your eyes at me young lady." She said, pointing her finger at me, my jaw dropped a little and I stopped talking. "That's better." I felt my stomach flip and she walked over to Pietro. "You know she's reckless, what if she falls off on purpose? Or what if she does something stupid because she knows no one is gonna be able to help her?" She asked him.

"Hey, I can hear you!" My stomach stopped doing flips and I felt an angry sharp pain in my chest.

"Ok, I'm sorry Ivy, but you know I'm right." She said sternly.

"I-" I stopped myself.

"You what?" She asked angrily.

"I liked it when you called me sweetheart." I said quietly, Pietro's eyes started watering from trying not to laugh. "Grow up." I gave him an angry glare.

"You're not going on a run! If you fall off, you die, and I don't think it's safe for you to be alone. You know I'm right sweetheart." She ended softly. "You have your sisters funeral in a few hours, don't make them turn it into a double." She said.

"I'm not going to die if I ride on his back." I rolled my eyes.

"You're not going!"

"You're not my mom!" I matched her tone, we stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds.

"Then why did you call me that last night?" She asked, my face fell and Pietro busted out laughing. "Don't look so surprised sweetheart; people would find out eventually." She smirked.

"Well, I'll take her on a short run, and I promise that she will be back in perfect condition in time for Kate's funeral." He said, I hopped onto his back and he took off, he ran for a few seconds and we were already a mile away from the compound.

"Shit." I felt my hands slip off his back and I rolled onto the bed. "Fuck!" I screamed as I felt rocks and sticks scratch me.

"Oh my God, are you ok?" Pietro ran back to me and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah, just got a few cuts." I wiped off dirt from my face and saw blood on my hands. "Oh shit." I laughed. "I'm going to be at my sisters funeral with injuries."

"Will Yelena be mad?" He asked nervously, I nodded and we both widened our eyes.

"Well, I mean when we were younger we always joked about me having blood on my hands at her funeral." I said.

"You guys talked about that?" He asked, I nodded. "You two had a very strange bond."

"When provoked, I am a very violent person." I told him, standing up. "I'm surprised you haven't learned that about me yet."

"Why would you be provoked at a funeral?" He asked me.

"Revenge." I whispered, lifting up my shirt and seeing a bunch of other cuts and bruises. "Ugh. This was not a mistake." I assured him. "It was a fun three seconds, but we should probably get back to the compound so I can get everything cleaned." I said, he nodded and took me back to the compound.

"What happened?" Yelena rolled her eyes as we walked through the door. "What the fuck happened to you?" She stormed over to us and grabbed my face harshly.

"Ouchie." I whined, she examined my face.

"I'm cleaning all your cuts." She rushed me back to our room and I took off my shirt and pants, revealing all the other cuts. "How the fuck did this happen?" She asked angrily. I gulped, she had never been this angry with me.

"I fell off." I whispered guiltily.

"I told you that you would Ivy!" She exclaimed, I winced as she cleaned the cuts on my stomach.

"I'm sorry." Was all I could say.

"I know you're not." She said sternly, not meeting my eyes. I sighed as she finished cleaning all my cuts. "Kate's funeral is in three hours, you should feel all better by then." She said, patting my shoulder.

"Hey." I called out hopelessly, not wanting her to laugh, she turned around before she turned the knob.

"What?"

"Can you stay please?" I asked, putting on my best pleading puppy dog face. "It'll make me feel better." I continued to pout, she rolled her eyes and walked over to me. I flopped down onto the bed painfully. "Will you cuddle with me?" I asked, she rolled her eyes and flopped down next to me. She pulled me close to her and I rested my face in her chest.

"Yeah. But I'm still mad at you." She said in a soft angry voice. She stroked my hair until I relaxed.

"You can't resist me." I said while laughing against her chest.

"Still mad." She grumbled.

"I love-"

"Still mad."

"Fine."
