"Ivy!" Peter screamed, I heard grunting and yelling, then I felt someone unchaining me. "You're ok, we'll stop the bleeding."

"Wait, wait, Peter." I whispered, hearing someone crying.

"No, I'm going to get you out of here." He said, grabbing my hand. I pulled away and rolled off of the bed onto the floor. "Ivy, what the hell are you doing, they could wake up any minute."

"You didn't kill them?" I asked, crawling towards the door.

"No, killing isn't always the answer!" He exclaimed, trying to help me get up, I refused his hand and crawled through the doorway.

"Well when they're terrible people it is!" I exclaimed back. "Peter, there's a boy." I whispered.

"What?" He asked. I got up and grabbed my chest. "Ivy, you've lost a lot of blood, I need to patch it up." He said, running away and coming back with a bandage, I let him put it on as I stared down the long hallway and saw a small raven haired boy with freckles weeping at the end of the hallway.

"We're taking him with us." I said, walking towards the boy and wincing at the pain in my chest and stomach.

"Ok, but we need to leave soon, they could wake up." Peter said, helping me walk. As i got closer to the boy I saw that he couldn't be any older than ten years old, and he had deep brown eyes.

"Leave me alone." The boy whispered.

"What happened?" I asked him, kneeling down and holding my chest.

"They killed my parents." He sniffed, looking up at me with tears streaming down his face, I looked back at him with sympathetic eyes.

"We can get you away from here." I told him.

"Ivy, we have to leave soon." Peter said nervously, looking back to the room we had just left.

"I'm not leaving him behind." I said.

"How do I know you're not one of them?" He asked defensively.

"That's a valid question." I said. "Well, we just came from that room-"

"That's where they killed my parents." The boy said softly.

"They tried to kill me too, but they obviously failed, because I'm sitting here in front of you." I said, he laughed quietly and I noticed that he had stopped crying. "If we don't leave soon, they'll wake up and they'll kill you too. But if you come with us we can provide you hospitality." I held my hand out.

"I still don't know if I can trust you." The boy said.

"Well you're going to have to." I said. "Because I'm not leaving without you." He nodded and took my hand, Peter grabbed my other hand and started swinging.

We were back at the compound in ten minutes. "What's your name?" I asked him softly, setting him down on the steps.

"Finn." He said, staring at the door. "Is this the Avengers headquarters?" He asked, amazed.

"Yes." Peter said, out of breath behind us.

"Are you guys Avengers?" He asked, his eyes lighting up.

"Yeah." I said hesitantly, his jaw dropped.

"Oh my God, I never thought I would see you guys, if only my brother Hugo could meet you." He said sadly.

"You have a brother?" I asked him.

"Yeah, he died though. Hydra killed him." He said plainly.

"Why did they kill your whole family?" I asked him.

"Well, they needed test subjects. They said the last test subjects they had turned on them and they needed new ones. They threatened my parents so my parents agreed." He explained. "But then my parents found out that they were going to test on me and my brother too so they tried to stop them and Hydra killed them."

"Why did they kill your brother?" Peter asked.

"Because he got in the way." Finn said quietly.

"How did you survive?" I asked him.

"Well, they ended up experimenting on me." He said.

"Was it successful?" I pressed on.

"Ivy, he probably doesn't want to talk about it." Peter said.

"No it's fine, I get why you're asking." Finn said. "But yeah, they were successful."

"What did they do to you?" I asked him.

"Well, they stuck long needles into me, and knocked me out." He said. "I don't remember a lot, I was unconscious most of the time." He paused. "What's that look for?" He asked me.

"Ivy don't tell him, he's a nine year old kid." Peter warned me.

"I'm ten actually." Finn said.

"Same thing." Peter whispered.

"No it's not." Finn defended himself.

"Yeah Peter, there's a big difference." I said, teasing him.

"Fine, but you shouldn't tell him." Peter said after a few long seconds.

"Why not? He deserves to know." I pointed out, turning back to Finn. "The Hydra experiments are here." I whispered.

"What did I just tell you?" Peter asked, very annoyed.

"I can make decisions for myself Peter." I told him, he sighed and didn't say anything.

"What do you mean they're here?" Finn asked as his eyes widened. "Wait, they're Avengers too?" He asked, I nodded. "I want to be an Avenger!" He exclaimed, jumping up and down.

"You're only ten." I told him. "And we don't even know what you can do yet." I said.

"I can teleport." He said casually. "I mean, I haven't really learned how to do it that well yet." He said shrugging. "But I can do it." He disappeared and then reappeared ten feet away.

"Wow, that's cool." I said, amazed.

"What can you do?" He asked me.

"I kill people with swords." I said awkwardly, he smiled and headed towards the door. Peter and I followed him and I put my hand on the doorknob. "Are you ready to meet the Avengers?" I asked him.

"Hell yeah!" He said.

"That's the right attitude."
