I walked down to the kitchen, it had been a week since Peter had died. I had almost been at the compound for a year, 10 months so far. I sighed as I remembered everything that I've gone through because I've been a part of the Avengers. "Hey Ivy." Tony said, he was sitting at the kitchen table, drinking beer.

"Can I have one?" I asked him, he nodded and I took one and took a big sip. "It's been a week." I whispered, looking up at him with a frown.

"Yup." He said. "I will never forget that day." I noticed his voice had lowered and it was shaking, I nodded in agreement as I remembered what it looked like when the light left Peter's eyes.

"Finn and Daisy are starting school tomorrow." I told him, he nodded and didn't say anything. "I'll drive them. It's a local public school, it's good." I said. "It's actually more of an academy really, for gifted children." He looked up as I mentioned this.

"Gifted as in what?" He asked.

"Well, the teacher is Matthew Murdock." I told him. "Also known as Daredevil." I smirked. "So, for smart, and supernaturally gifted students too." I said, he smiled and finished his beer.

"Well, I'm sure they'll do exceptionally well there." He said, standing up and smiling, seeming to forget that we were just talking about Peter.

"They will." I said, finishing my own beer and standing up with him.

"Do you know who else goes there?" He asked me.

"No, but I can look up the enrollment list, now that I've enrolled people in it." I said.

"Wait, how did you enroll them in it, you ned to have a guardian enroll them." He said, stopping me.

"Oh, well, I'm their legal guardian now." I said, he smiled as his eyes widened slightly. "Ok so it says Finn Vincent Huxley, teleportation."

"Oh, so it says their abilities too? That's cool, but if someone broke in it wouldn't be good." Tony said.

"Yeah, then it says Daisy Madison Adler, healing. Riley Adele Cassidy, phasing, that's a cool one." I said.

"Yeah it is, carry on." Tony said.

"Duke Alexander Harlow, empath. Klaus Jeremiah Harlow, empath. Looks like a set of twins." Tony nodded in agreement. "There's only one more."

"Read it." He ordered.

"Daniel Christopher Murdock, superhuman senses." I read.

"So we've got ourselves, a teleporter, a healer, a phaser, two empaths, and another Daredevil." He said.

"What do you mean we've got ourselves?" I asked him. "We're not going to recruit all of them."

"Of course not, not right now." He said, I rolled my eyes. "What, if they have these abilities and they've got the nerve, they'd serve well for the team."

"Well yeah, but they don't have like anything that could protect them from attack." I said.

"Well neither do you." He pointed out.

"Well I can kill people." I said.

"They could do, it can be useful Ivy. Finn can teleport, do you not get how useful that is?" He asked.

"Yeah I do."

"Someone can heal themselves, and other people, if we get her trained in combat then that's so useful!" He exclaimed. "And someone who can walk through walls, that's amazing! Two people who can sense others feelings, emotional support, and they can tell if people are lying." He said. "And then another Daredevil, but one who can actually see!" He exclaimed, clapping his hands together. "They were made for the hero life."

"We're not going to ask children to save the world. Look at where that got Peter." I said in a low voice, his face fell and he looked down at the ground.

"We'll do better this time." Tony promised. "We're never going to let anything like that happen ever again." I nodded in agreement. "But, do me a favor, when you swing Finn and Daisy by the school tomorrow, will you talk to Matt for me?" He asked.

"Do you want me to recruit him?" I asked, sighing.

"No, I don't."

"Thank God."

"I just want to be able to keep in contact with him. People who have the abilities and the guts, we need to keep in contact with each other." He said. "We're a community."

"Yeah, I guess." I said.

"If we can get him, then we can get everyone else that he knows."

"We're not getting anyone!" I told him. "Unless they want to be gotten. Some people like to lay low and stay in their place, not become an Avenger and save the whole fucking world." I told him.

"I get that, but I'm just saying, it's good to know everybody." He said, I nodded in agreement and shut off my phone.

"Ok, well, I'll talk to him tomorrow, and I'll see if he wants to meet you." I told him.

"Thank you, thank you so much." He said, giving me a tight hug.

"No problem."
