Jay knew something wasn't right as soon as his alarm went off. He looked over and saw that Hailey wasn't in bed next to him, so he sat up and looked to see if the light was on in the bathroom, but it wasn't. Jay sighed and got out of bed, slipped on some socks, and headed to the living room to find her.

Hailey was sitting on a barstool, head resting on her arms, and once he got closer, Jay saw that she was asleep.

"Hails, baby, wake up," he gently shook her as he spoke and she sat up, confused for a moment.

"What time did you come in here?" He asked once she looked at him.

"Um, like 4:30 I think," she rubbed her eyes as she spoke and leaned towards Jay, resting her head on his chest.

Jay kissed the top of her head and hugged her to him. "Insomnia?" He guessed, frowning when he felt her sigh and shake her head. "What's going on?" He questioned, hoping her anxiety wasn't spiking again. She'd been doing really well the last 3 weeks since they got married.

"My stomach hurts, I got up to get some tea to try to soothe it and I guess I fell asleep," she admitted, not looking up.

"Hailey, why didn't you wake me? Did you throw up or anything?" He asked, worried.

"I was just gonna drink some tea then come back to bed, I didn't throw up," she told him.

"That's good, Hails. You still feel bad?" She nodded and he kissed her forehead, feeling for a fever.

"I'm sorry. You don't have a fever, do you want to stay home?" He asked, rubbing her back.

"No, I wanna go to work with you," she played with the hem of his shirt as she spoke. Her stomach was bothering her and she was really tired, but she didn't want to be stuck at home by herself all day.

"Okay, baby. Go get ready, I'll make you more tea and see if I can find some pepto or something for you to take. Do you want some toast?" Hailey shook her head and stood up.

"Hails, you gotta try to eat a little something. What about some crackers or applesauce?" Jay suggested, knowing Hailey had a stash of plain applesauce pouches since they were one of the few things she could force herself to eat when she was really anxious or nervous. He'd learned that years ago when Sean McGrady had been shot and she'd been put in a bad situation because of it, which had made her anxious. All she ate that week was applesauce, though he wasn't sure if she knew he'd noticed that.

"I'll try an applesauce," she sighed, leaning into Jay's arms for a hug.

"I'll grab one," he gave her one more kiss on the head and went to grab on from the cabinet, twisting the top off as he walked back over to her to hand it to her. Hailey sat back on the stool and slowly ate it while Jay played with her hair.

She stood up and threw it away when she was done then went to the bedroom to grab some clothes and go get ready.

Jay started coffee for himself and tea for Hailey before he made himself some breakfast, looking towards their room every few minutes. Even though she didn't have a fever, he could see that Hailey didn't feel good and wondered if he should convince her to stay home, but knew she would be upset if he did that.

Once he finished eating, he went into their bathroom and turned on the shower as Hailey was finishing brushing her teeth. She'd brushed her wavy hair and he could tell she'd only put a little bit of makeup under her eyes and done a very small amount of mascara, but that was it.

"Bathroom's all yours," she told him before walking to their room and making the bed.

When Jay was done showering and getting ready, Hailey was laying on the couch. "Hailey, are you sure you don't want to stay home?" He asked her.
