(Hailey is in a car accident and Jay helps her after it. I'm setting this in season 6 and Hailey and Jay are already married)
——
Hailey wasn't sure what was going on. One minute she was driving down the road in the rain, the next there was a loud crash and she's waking up to yelling and so much noise. She looked around and realized she'd been in a car accident. She couldn't see anyone and felt trapped.

Hailey hated being trapped in small spaces and started to panic. She hadn't registered the pain in her body, she just wanted out, NOW. There was a large truck against the front and drivers side of her car, making it so she couldn't see a way out or anyone else. The passenger side of her car was against a retaining wall.

"HELP!!!" She screamed as loud as she could. "HELP! GET ME OUT!" She kept yelling and suddenly the truck was pulled away from her car.

Kelly Severide appeared next to her and she looked at him pleadingly. Her window was broken. "Please, get me out," she begged.

"We're working on it, Hailey. Hang in there. Brett, get over here! Guys, it's Upton, we need to get her out!" He called out.

Hailey suddenly registered the pain radiating through her body and gasped. "Hailey, did you lose conscience?" Brett asked as soon as she got over there.

"Yeah," Hailey breathed. "My head hurts, and my neck, I think the seatbelt cut me. Um, my ribs, right arm, and shins hurt. Please get me out of here," she was practically begging them and they could see the desperation in her eyes.

The seatbelt had cut her collarbone, she had a bump on her forehead, her right wrist was already bruising, and they could see her legs had been hit with the dashboard from the impact and was pushing on them. She looked very panicked.

"Okay, Hailey, I need you to follow my finger with your eyes," Brett did the light test. "I think you've got a concussion. I'm going to get this c-collar on you and the guys are gonna get you out. You're going to be okay," Sylvie was trying to comfort her friend, but Hailey grew more panicked when she put the c-collar around her neck.

"No, too trapped, please don't," Hailey tried to push her away.

"Hailey, you need it, we don't know if you have a neck injury. I'm sorry. Are you claustrophobic?" Brett asked as she secured it.

"Yes," Hailey had tears dripping down her cheeks.

"Would you like a sedative?" Sylvie asked as Kelly and Cruz got ready with the jaws.

"No, please don't do that," Hailey didn't want to be out of control and unaware, she hated that feeling.

"Okay, I won't. They're going to get you out and we'll get you to med," Sylvie gave her a gentle smile and backed away.

They got her door open and Hailey was quickly placed on the backboard and secured. She didn't like that, she couldn't move. "No, don't hold me down, please!" She cried, panicking.

"Hailey, you're okay. I'll undo the straps in the rig," Sylvie and Chili were quick to get her unstrapped once she was in the ambo.

"I'll ride with her, you drive," Chili went and got in the front while Sylvie checked Hailey's vitals. Hailey cried quietly the whole drive, she wanted Jay.

"What do we got?" She heard Maggie's voice as the ambo doors opened.

"Female, 28, car accident. Briefly lost consciousness, complaining of head, neck, rib, right wrist, and leg pain. Vitals are good," Sylvie supplied as Hailey was moved out of the ambulance.

"Hailey?!" She heard Will and started crying even harder, reaching her left hand to him.

"I need Jay!" She cried, clutching his hand.
